The Pirate's Song

Wilbur Filkins is a logistics and supply specialist who is about to leave his current position and start his own business. He has fallen in love with two men and can't decide whom he loves more. They are both his roommates, and he cannot continue to live with both of them indefinitely as he knows one of them will be crushed and his relationship with both is unrealistic for the long term.His problem is answered during a trip to his northern office where he sees a beautiful man disembarking a cruise ship. Their romance is a whirlwind and their mutual desires and feelings drive him away from his swan song relationship with multiple partners and roommates. He loves the people and culture, so he has decided to stay and start a supply and logistics business. Before leaving his last position, he has recruited several ex-supply and local logistical experts to create a business to fill the gaps where his previous company cannot compete. His current boss sees his plans and efforts as a traitorous affair and, in the meantime, he is distracted by the recent arrival of a female doctor at the nearby hospital who shares his passion for science fiction (as well as their shared namesakes for characters in a popular science-fiction television show and big screen stalwart). Wilbur's business does well in the beginning, but his fortune begins to turn when his supply channels are ambushed. Several of his friends are caught up in the crossfire and the story ultimately comes to a traitorous end when Wilbur discovers who is working against him.
