India has made rapid strides in the field of Agricultural Research and Education. Plant pathology has been an integral part of plant protection. This book has been formatted to cover several aspects of Plant Pathology . A broad treatment of the subject has been given here to cover wide-range of topics. Besides general plant pathology major emphasis given to plant disease management, techniques and brief descriptions of diseases caused by different plant pathogens and phanerogamic plants.
About Author :
Dr Ashok Mishra obtained his M.Sc Hon`s in Plant Pathology, recipient of JRF of ICAR and Ph D from University of Udaipur. He has teching and research experience of more than 35 years in Plant Pathology. He is Principal and Dean, College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. Dr A Bohra obtained M.Sc degree with specialization in Plant Pathology and Ph D from Jodhpur University. He worked as lecturer in Rajasthan Government and then joined Jodhpur University in 1972. H eis the fellow of Indian Phytopathology (FPSI), Mycology and Plant Pathology (FSMPI) and society of Salinity Research Scientists. Dr Akhilesh Mishra obtained his Master`s degree in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology and Ph D from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar (2001). Worked as SRF in ICAR project on Tobacco Viruses at SPU, R.A in NATP on legume viruses at NBPGR, New Delhi, and R.A in Pest Risk Analysis Project at Division of Plant Protection and Quarantine, Ministry of Agriculture, Faridabad.
