Originally published in 1886. The book contains a large number of early American sporting poems devoted to the natural history and pursuit by man of all manner of wildlife. Much of the contents are devoted to hunting small game and wildfowl in America, but also include much material on big game hunting in Africa and other countries. Another eighty five pages contain poems concerning game, coarse and sea fishing.
