From James L. Tullos, author of Poems by a Country Boy: From the beginning of my life, poetry has been a part of me. These little poems came to me when I was reading, sleeping, or driving to work. The poem entitled "Joshua W" came one night as a lady was singing on TV. I got out of bed, went to the computer and wrote the first page. The others followed naturally. Most of the poems are inspired by real experiences, such as "Farming." Life was very difficult when I was growing up, and many of the little fights actually took place, as in "School Days."
