Policies, Programmes And Strategies For Tribal Development: A Critical Appraisal

A plethora of literature is available and various studies have been undertaken on different aspects of tribal development. But very few on the analysis of tribal problems vis-a-vis programmes/policies for their development. This area of tribal development has remained more or less unexplored. In this book the author has delved deeper into the genesis of tribal problems, critically examined the programmes for their development innthe past and present and offered some valuable insights for lifting them out of the morass of poverty and stagnation.
About Author :
Dr Nisakar Panda has had an excellent academic career. He did not post graduation and PhD in economics and acquired his law degree from Utkal University. He has been a lecturer of Economics for a brief spell and then entered into the State Service under Government of Orissa. currently, jhe is working as Deputy Director in the Planning and COOrdination Department, Government of Orissa. He has been actively involved in a number of Evaluation Studies Of Government Schemes.
