The problem of overpopulation especially in the developing world is one of the bottlenecks to socio-economic development. The performance of the family planning programme has not been adequate as compared to the resources put in the programme. The programme has been examined from different angels but very little effort has been made to examine the family planning programme from administrative angle. In this book, we have dicussed the administrative components of the programme which are responsible to great extent for the success/failure of the programme.

Dr. S.L. Goel, Emeritus Fellow UGC at Panjab University, and an eminent educationist had been teaching Public Administration and Poltical Science for over three decades. He has been a member of University Grants Commission, Govt. of India, New Delhi, Distance Education Council and a member of All India Board of Management under All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi.His fiedl of specialisation is Public Administration, Manageemnt and Education.
