Port Of Climax

Port of Climax is a modern western saga that traverses four mountain states, over 168 days, in 1982. The epic journey spans two Countries high atop the Continental Divide ... a story of an undying love... a love lost forever and the heroic trek taken by Tom Latimer in a last attempt to save his family. Facing adversaries, from a corrupt banker and religious persecutors, to the life-long hatred of a powerful enemy, he endures until his life is taken, but not without just retribution.
The stage was set for Bozeman, as the cast of characters made their way to the little hamlet in Southern Montana. One was an old man that had been given a second chance in his life. One was a brother seeking recognition. Another was a young man, living the adventure of a lifetime. Three were just followers. One was a criminal and seasoned killer. One was a man trying to seek forgiveness from an old friend. Another was a dedicated law officer on the quest of enhancing his own career. One was a powerful and corrupt man, festering with hatred... and the eleventh was a man that offered life a handshake and looked you straight in the eye.
Autumn had cycled once again... an uncharacteristic snow squall had blanketed this portion of Southern Canada with seven inches of fresh, wet snow... and it continued to fall. Migrating flocks of ducks and geese were quickly gathering, hastening their early departures. Rocky outcrops and clumps of brush were all that protruded through the thick cover of snow on this bleak and remote prairie... all except a riderless horse and a dying man.
