This book does not tell us how to find the ten's digit of a given expression. It has only said divide by 100 and find the remainder of the required expression to find the ten's digit. How to find the ten's digit of exponential expressions is not given in the book and in my opinion its important for CAT.

The book is good enough to give you a decent score in DI. The questions are divided into different layers of difficulty.The book also familiarises us in every section in great depth.

The people having time limit problems may in particular buy this one. the practice this one gives really helps to reduce the time.

But there are also certain parts, like convert the information to a pie chart, draw a bar graph etc.... which i feel is a bit crappy. They may help us to be familiar with the process, but then, these are not the sort of questions we expect in CAT.

Three layered difficulty familiarising method with a wide range of questions, a lot of practice worksheets, 23 full length sectional test papers, 5 model exams did help me get a decent 93%ile in DI with just one months practice.

The LR section also is also pretty decent but is not covered to the extend of DI. same 3 layered dificulty division. questions discussed are pretty good. But then....

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK PURELY FOR THE SAKE OF PRACTICING LOGICAL REASONING. THE BOOK IS SOMETHING LIKE 80% IMPORTANCE TO DI, 20% TO LR.

And clearly, the book is meant for people with long term target.Those seeking a capsule, i recommend to avoid this book.

Well i've heard a lot of CAT aspirants talking about the concepts and shortcuts used in this book.But from my experience i think the three level of difficulties part stands on top.I don't know what was in the mind of Arun Sharma when he wanted to publish this book,there is no explanation given for the Block review tests.Infact,i couldn't find solutions to the preassessment tests given before every block.But still its helpful in cracking CAT as i found some core difficult question in LOD3.

I started this book after a little warm up in Quants with the help of a different study material, so which implies that I knew some concepts already before turning the cover page of this book.

The first day with this book was really enjoyable. The theory part is explained in an apt way along with the problem exercise. So one can expect thorough concept building plus problem practice from this book. I haven't finished the book but so far so good. The different levels of difficulty are providing useful information and I'm getting a good grasp of things out of this book.

Also, I have been told by experts that this is not the only ladder to climb if some one is seriously preparing for CAT. But this book is certainly of great help if the person is not an expert already. Experts can ignore my suggestion. :D

So if you are starting your preparation or some where in the middle of it, you must go through it.
