Prince Of Persia

The main reason why this game is getting certain negative comments is that this game is titled 'Prince of Persia', and so people expect it to be a continuation or an improvement of the original Prince of Persia trilogy.

THIS GAME HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER POP GAMES. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY THEY NAMED IT PRINCE OF PERSIA.

But this is an awesome game. The graphics and artistic quality in every frame is much better than earlier POP games.

The sparks & fire that flash when swords collide, and lighting effects when you execute combos and use magic spells is in no way comparable to the earlier POP games.

And the overall presentation is inspired from oil paintings, which I feel is new and better way to look at it.

Pros:
- Superb combos
- New tiger claw
- Assistant/girlfriend Elika, who can be used to execute superb combos or take out the enemy when you need to catch a break.

- Elika levitates you out of trouble with magic when you fall of a cliff or other dangers(Similar to reversing time in other POPs)

- graphics is awesome and extremely artistic

Overall: AWESOME GAME IF YOU ARE READY FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT YET titled 'Prince of Persia'

Although this game is quite apart and does not revolve around the main series this game is not to be missed. The graphic may look obscure but it is actually isnpired out of oil paintings. However, many of the graphic cards won't be supporting the rendered graphics but if they do the graphics of the game are quite picturesque. They map is a semi-open and there is no boundation regrading where you like to move around. The fight sequences are rather unique and found it to be the most enjoyable. Every fight with the enemy is a one on one (actually one on two as you a magical assistant) and gives the thrill of almost being a boss. With combos running down into more than three pages it's always thrilling to pull out rather insane looking combos. Even sometimes you got a punch a right button at times keeping you on your heels for quite a time. If you take my word the fights are the best I have seen in any other game. Navigating through the map doing all sorts of jumping, climbing, wall-running are such a pleasure to watch. However after a while the gameplay seems to be going repititive. But I have played this game twice and it is so much fun.

This new trilogy of Prince of Persia is much different from the older trilogy. Better graphics ,a new prince and entirely new story. But it misses the free style combat which was one of the biggest reason for POP success. The fight style now focuses entirely on timing of attacks where you need pin point precision of even fraction of a second to floor your enemy. Fighting with bosses has become very boring in this game. You'll need lot of patience rather than skill to kill. Interaction with environment around to use in combat is almost nil. And when you find out this game is just exploring a map and collecting light seeds...you'll even get bored out of it. Thank god this game at least preserves the signature acrobatic style movements.
At the end this game is worth a try but won't get the feel of old POP.

Prince is great character. This game changes the feeling of Prince ,that you created in your mind . Game is very enjoying and worth my money.

One of the best in POP franchise!!!...love the subtle comedy n the gameplay....wish they wud release the epilogue version for the PC gamers...been waiting for almost 3 years!! n flipkart delivery on this is just amazing! got in one days time!!!!Thanks to flipkart!!this gameplay is very different from other POP games...but is definitely one of the best!! Its better than 'The forgotten sands' .. Two thrones n this r my fav!! its worth buying!!
