Principles Of Physics 9th Edition

First let me clarify, I have not brought this book from Flipkart. I had had this book before Flipkart was even conceived.
This is one of my favourite books and I apologize beforehand if any of the matter written below sounds condescending.

This is a book for Physics lovers. Each and every concept is dealt with possibly the best way. If there are 3 books which can be considered as the Gospels of Physics this has to be one of them (along with Sears, Zemansky and the NCERT books).
Jearl Walker the newest entrant and he has written just one new chapter (if I am not mistaken then its probably on Heat).
I am a part time teacher and I also recommend my students to buy this book (at the risk of them throwing me away because this book is absolutely self-explanatory).

If you love Physics and you want to know how an electric impulse is converted to wave or why its better to wear black in desert (its not a typo the book reveals why its better to wear black cloaks in contradiction to the popular white that we normally associate with desert sheikhs) or you want to know why there is a mismatch of symmetry between anti matter and matter this is DEFINITELY your book.
For practical and pragmatic students, who are interested in the more important and worldly aspect of getting marks its a guarantee that none of the questions coming in your exam will match with any in this book. So for you buying the book is absolutely nugatory.

Believe me guyz ..this book is just awesome book ..language so easy to understand and entertaining problems to play with .
You will start loving physics as you progress through a chapter.
I gurantee it will inculcate your interest in physics

One of the best books ever written in physics. It basically defines physics : the study of nature and natural phenomenon.
This book is self explanatory. Once you have read a particular topic then believe me you will know it better than your teacher.
Any new chapter in this book begins with an interesting practical observation or phenomenon; the explanation of which is given somewhere in the middle of the chapter.
It's language is quite easy to understand and the questions given at the back are not so difficult but test the student's apprehension skills.
It is an excellent choice if your goal is to understand physics but it is not for you if your goal is to score marks. Not because it is lacking in any way but because this book demands patience and time. If you have mastered this book then there will be no numerical problem you can't tackle in a matter of seconds.
I am giving this book 5 stars which I rarely give to any product on flipkart..........

This is an amazing book for those who love physics. This book will help you to make a strong foundation of fundamental concepts in physics. It has an organic way of explaining concepts to reader and the problems at the end of chapters help in cementing the concepts learned by application.
This is especially recommended for those who want to major in physics or have a keen interest in gaining deep understanding of physical concepts.All topics are covered in good detail and are a lot of fun.
The book was awarded by American Physical society as the most outstanding work in introductory physics of 20th century. So if you really want to "understand" basic physics, this is the book for you.
