A surprise October tornado rearranges Memphis. A Congressional race takes a surprising turn as a result. Involved in the political fracas is Mojo Scoville, a professional gambler and longshot third party candidate. The "emergency" Republican candidate, Mojo's twin sister Dixie, discovers at just the wrong time that she has a serious public speaking phobia. A disillusioned salesman, a fat fetishist, an overly ambitious political consultant, and a redneck bartender join Mojo. An unreformed jock, Mojo's own girlfriend, a psychotic Star Wars fan, and all the money in the world side with Dixie. Memphis, from ghetto to shining ghetto, will have its day in the sun....
