New areas of public interest in accounting include social accounting, value added accounting, rate sensitive assets and liabilities accounting to analyse the changing money rate, exchange rate, liquidity reserve ratios, debt ratios, scrip rating, tax structure and tax burden accounting and developing a sense of accounting in public organisations, say insurance, banks, transport, communiction health etc.
