Sharath spins a captivating web of a story

In his latest book “The Puppeteers of Palem”, Sharath Komarraju weaves an intricate and thoroughly captivating web of a tale.

With a non-linear story line, the novel starts off by introducing various interleaving stories from different timelines. As the story goes on and the links between various characters emerge, a clearer picture emerges and the reader can find himself/herself drawn further into the dark village of Palem. Sharath unravels the plot with such skill that it is not till the ...

    A fascinating book...

This is a book that you will always remember for its characterisation... the characters grow on you; and involve you deeply within themselves, taking you deep into the story...

This is a story of intrigue, of mystery, and of thrill told in a unique style, starting excruciatingly slowly; despite being slow, you just cannot keep it down - as the story grows on you, the characters involve you deeply, and the promise of the story keeps you wanting to go on, frankly cursing the author, and yet w...

    A thriller to the core!

After the Winds of Hastinapur, I had lofty expectations from Sharath's new novel. With this book, the author has outdone himself albeit in a different genre! The Puppeteers of Palem takes off with a high suspense that persists all the way till the end and has one gripped firmly. The author spins three webs across the realms of time and bounds from one to another effortlessly. Once you realize that there are multiple dimensions to the story, you gleefully join the swing while striving to piece...

    Engaging and Thrilling!

Sharath has once again mastered at his brilliant way of narrating the story. And, this time it is a paranormal based story. Story that was never told before, Story which will keep you hooked till the end. All those spookiness, the dead silence of a remote village, the recursive way of taking revenge is all packed into a scintillating book.

I must say this is one of the rarest of its kind. It mixes with the innocence of the village and its villagers. What would happen if you remember all of ...

    Sharath's sheer creativity needs mention!

If you are fond of thrillers and mystery, you should not miss the latest offering of Sharath Komarraju.

The Puppeteers of Palem boasts of a racy narrative style that vividly brings forth 'the sleepy village of Palem. The village seems to come alive only when the whiff of air from the mighty Godavari River comes to cool the evenings. The sheer imagery of the dusty village and the vivid characterization of Avadhani Thatha, Sarasu and Lachi add to the distinct style of Sharath.

    To go into d...

    A truly enthralling experience!

Spectacular is the word, I would like to use for this fascinatingly written novel. Murder suspense, thriller, a touch of horror; it has all of it. And the one thing I loved the most: the curiosity offered by the intriguing characters.
Honestly, I felt like I was going through a long journey, feeling each character around me, feeling their emotions and experiencing every action of theirs. The Puppeteers of Palem has the right touch of horror, the right amount of suspense and at some points, th...

    An extremely competent paranormal thriller

With this book, the author successfully manages to draw us all into the paranormal happenings of Rudrakshapalem, a sleepy little village. The five protagonists come back home to find that the village is nothing like it used to be back when they were kids. A spate of unnatural occurences seems to have made the village and its inhabitants eerier than before, and they soon realize that maybe, just maybe something they did as kids has something to do with it. A lovely read which forces us to ques...

I am really glad I got to lay my hands on this book sooner than many other people. It is truly amazing and a very good read.

The USP of this book is that it is written in a very easy-to-understand and yet thought provoking manner.

A very nice and subtle way of telling a story is what I thought of when I read the book. I would for sure recommend this book to all my friends and family.

Excellent read and read it in the night!

To start off, really loved the fact the author has managed to weave a highly intricate story with several characters, multiple storylines and very non-linear. It is not really a joke to tie them all together and Sharath has managed to pull off a brilliantly themed book, true to its genre. The characters are deep, the location very unsettling and the writing, stellar. I loved the fact that there was nothing sacrificed for a superior story with a chilling end (I was actually spooked towards the...
