Quantitative Techniques

This book is simply an introduction tothevast subject of quantitative techniques written primarily for the professional courses of CA, ICWA and CS (Final). It does not require to have a high degree of mathematical knowledge on the part of the reader to understand the basics of the subject matter and an elementary knowledge of algebra, differential and integral calculus is that is needed to make it. Each chapter begins with the discussion on the theory, concept and practical application of the problems belonging to diverse fields of industry, busines and defence followed by detailed work-out process to tackle them. Unimportant details has been purposely omitted in the interest of brevity and readability of the book but the author at places has gone to the extent of being redundant in order to be clear to his readers. Wherever possible the examples in the edition have been referred ot the university or competitive examination papers wherefrom they have drawn, since this helps the students in forming a correct estimate of the standard expected of them in the examination.
