Quantum Mechanics

Quantum Mechanics is one of the fundamental courses being taught to graduate and postgraduate students of Physics as well as Chemistry. From time to time a number of good books have been written on the subject. However, quite often a major responsibility of derivation of mathematical expression has been entrusted to a teacher dealing with the course in the classroom. With the declining standard of classroom teaching, quite often the expressions given in the textbooks are crammed and then reproduced in the examination hall, without understanding them. This book is an attempt where subject is presented in such a mannerwhich can be understood by a common student independently. In this book we have dealt the subject in a systematic and simple manner with the help of some exercises. For the situations where a problem cannot be solved exactly, there are various perturbation methods. These methods are discussed here in a simple manner. The problem of addition of angular momentum has been discussed in detail.
