Rangeele

After listening to Chandaan mein (Kailash Kher’s previous album), I thought there can be no song better than this. But Kailash Kher proved me wrong, and only he could do that. Kailasa Rangeele with all its variety and freshness has proved to be the best of what Indian pop has to offer. In fact the beautiful blend of sounds and melodies like Jazz in Kailasa Rangeele takes it to an international level. Each song has its own spice. Tu Kya Jaane, Albelia and Yaadan Teeriyan have that salt of romance, while other songs like Kathagaan and Samvaad are the pepper that makes your head swing. I personally love the song Daaro na rang. Had it been a part of some Hindi movie, it would have broken records. Nevertheless it is a great hard hitting song that will surely become a chartbuster. The title track Rangeele just makes me smile every time I hear it. The best part of the album is that anyone and everyone can connect to it. The lyrics are so close to human emotions and feelings, but it is amazing how Kailash Kher has portrayed them so beautifully through his music. Loved it.

Fourth album release from Kailesh Kher and his band Kailasa is by the far the strongest release from them so far. Thankfully there are no big Bollywood item numbers nor is there any of the fluffy sufi-light that everyone seems to be doing these days. Instead there are 12 solid track that sound amazing played loud (and probably even better live). Also gone is the over poppy-ness of early hits like ''Tauba Tauba'' from the first album, replaced by great songs with elaborate riffs that will be played for years to come. Three promo videos have been released from the album so far: the title track ''Rangeela'', ''Yaadaan Teriyaan'' and ''Tu Kya Jaane'' (a track that became a radio hit on the BBC's national Asian radio station in the UK). The best tracks for me are the up-tempo ones like ''Katha Gaan'' and the excellent ''Samvaad''. Amitabh Bachchan also cameos on one of the tracks too! A great album- I really hope it gets appreciated the way it deserves to be.

Tu kya jaane is beautiful and eternal! everyone can connect with it...{unki aadat hi hai vo to khelte hain, khelkar phir tod dete hain!} especially the beautiful lyrics by kailash kher!
kathagaan is a fantastic peppy number!
yaddan teriyaan is just beautiful and to make things better, there r 2 versions, electric and acoustic!
i give it 5 stars, absolutely fantastic!

Kailasa Rangeele is a 360 degree piece of work . There is something for every soul.

1. Rangeele – connects to every man ….simply awesum
2. Tu Kya Jaane- lovely and heart touching……especially for people in love
3. Albeliya- if you are not in love, you would want to be after listening to this song
4. Yadaan Teriyaan- for all those long distance love affairs
5. Daaro Na Rang and Samvaad- very peppy, the beats are fabulous
6. Kathagaan- now this is what I call novelty
8. Babbaji- simply wow
9. Dharti Pe Jannat Ka Nazara, Ujaale Baant Lo, Ambar tak- impactful

Overall thumbs up for Kailasa Rangeele

This wait of two years for Kailasa Rangeele seems so worth after watching the result. Brilliant work by Kailash and his team. The songs are amazing. My personal favorite is the title track O Rangeele. Such a light hearted song with deep meaning. The romantic songs Tu Kya Jaane and Yaadan Teeriyan are simply very soothing. Albelia is another great piece of work. The kids in my family love the songs Kathagaan and Hudkaan Maan. The album is absolutely worth spending money on!
