He happens upon the perfect business opportunity in town to keep him occupied. In the meantime, he hires Andrea Kincade to design and install a garden at his estate for his ailing mother. Being in a troubled marriage didn't help matters any as Andrea began to have feelings for Derek, and those feelings turned out to be mutual.
