Book: The Redeeming Of Ingeborg: Or ."free To Be A Slave" Ingeborg Strssne is a rebellious and headstrong seventeen-year-old, living in 18th century Norway. She leaves home for the city against her parents wishes and gets involved in prostitution. Her family sends her brother to look for her and try to bring her back to Aasenhjem, her familys domain. Henrik, the brother, botches his effort and ends up in court. However, Ingeborg is rescued by a stranger. Although the stranger is a Huguenot, he is mistakenly taken to be a Catholic priest and tragedy befalls him. However, this tragedy brings blessings upon the Strssnes, who belong to the tiny Catholic minority of Norway. The Redeeming of Ingeborg is a statement in favor of tolerance and understanding. It recognizes the redeeming power of grace.
