    Flipkart Official Review

McKinsey is perhaps one of the only companies who can get prolific list of thinkers to write essays on a single theme and get it published. Reimagining India is wisdom from every corner, to talk of the next big Superpower of Asia – the sub-continent of India.

Reimagining India is an interesting book – it has a take on everything culturally, politically and economically right and wrong with the country. From Mukesh Ambani to Bill Gates, there is a wide spectrum of writers. They speak of India’s rise – its foreign policy, growth prospects, and the competition that surrounds it and how can it thrive as well.

Reimagining India as a read sometimes could get monotonous, however it picks up pace in the right places. A read if you want to know more about where the country is heading and what is in store for all of us.

McKinsey and Company collect a series of essays from several eminent personalities on India and the direction the country is headed in Reimagining India.

    Summary of the Book

Bringing together the thoughts of prominent personalities, this book throws light on India's present situation and shows the areas of growth. It examines India's true potentials and draws from people like Bill Gates, Mukesh Ambani, Fareed Zakaria, Eric Schmidt and Nandan Nilekani among others to put together a picture that breaks down India's current strengths and showcases the points of weakness in its political system. It is an indispensable resource for anyone seeking to understand how India is changing and how these changes will reflect long term in the global scenario.

    Imagining India -II

A comprehensive book of why India should unlock itself to get the best way to foreign investments at this hour when it needs the most.I completed the book in a couple of days.
Though the first chapter on Reimgaining was the best I simply lost my voice navigating as I found the writers were echoing the same. The 2nd. last chapter on Culture & soft power was a good initiative by McKinsey & Co. In totality the book is an awareness oriented book meant for anyone who wants to spend his efforts & ...

    whose India?

the idea of India pans centuries and is not universal either. the diversity of the authors that have written for this, apparently hastily put together compilation, definitely captures the diversity, however, can be faulted in rather uni-dimensional presentation of India.

imagination too is contained within the global economic realm, leaving behind environmental, climate change, sustainable, equitable, just and / or empowering perspectives rather notionally if at all. perhaps it is not in th...

    Interesting Read

Touches upon macro issues and takes a zoomed out view of India and its position in the world. Inspirational read for anyone who's disillusioned with our country at the moment. Doesn't go into detail though, offers no comprehensive solutions regarding India's current or common problems. The political, religious and socio-economic scenario is constantly changing in India. I wish our business leaders, sportspersons, politicians and role models from various fields truly helped the common man with...

    One time read!

The book is a collection of essays and the range of topics chosen is good. However, many a times similar things are repeated in the book which makes it a little boring.

Good compilation - Sequence could have been better

Let me just say that the quality of articles coming in this book are as amazing as the personalities who have provided their essays. Its over-whelming to read all of them at once as the perspectives clash in your head all at the same time but its a worth-while to spend some time on this one.

    Good read

If You take each essay individually , I would say each one is highly insightful . But if you take the book in its totality,i felt it was repetitive in some ares . For example,i felt there are too many essays on the growth story of india in general. However sector specific growth stories are highly captivating.I was also sorry to see that there are no essays written from a socialistic perspective. But This is a book which is worth investing your time in.

    India - a true reimagination

First of all the cover, quality, font everything is excellent.
McKinsey have really did a great job in bringing together the essays about India from renowned personalities around the world.
This book gives a roadmap for India's next leap towards a self-sufficient, equivitable economic sustainability.
One thing which i disliked is some opinions are afterall repeated which may become annoying to some.Overall a good job.
