A classy tribute...

With the Pancham wave continuing for the last two decades; it was surprising that there was hardly any instrumental version of his works. What we had was countless, and at times, meaningless remixes annotated with pelvic thrusts and gyrations. So Gautam Choudhury’s harmonica album comes almost as a blessing. It is a true connoisseur’s tribute to the maverick whose music is being considered revolutionary and path breaking, and still has a following which outnumbers his peers by a huge margin.

Gautamda Once again you have expressed feelings through your harmonica!

Gautamda as I always call him. He is not playing the instrument but playing the music. Actually he is singing through his harmonica. To me the feelings and accurate notation of the Indian music which he is able to create through his harmonica no one has ever done it. One can really sing along with his harmonica. All the numbers are wonderfully chosen, are played in the original scale, harmonica sound is rich and the music is nice. I love "Phir wohi... it makes my eyes wet. Since I know Gautam...

This album would definitely change Indian people's perception on harmonica...

I am perhaps the first person to have purchased this album and am amazed to see the level of finesse and dedication that has been put to it. The most challenging job for a musician is to emulate the emotion through his instrument and Mr. Gautam Choudhury, the ace harmonica player has attained near perfection.... Warm tone and feel which merges beautifully with the well balanced sound mixing. Harmonica is an instrument which, though extremely complicated and complex, is always considered to be...

When Pancham speaks through Gautam Choudhury's harmonica, the listeners remain speechless.

The first thing of this album, that caught my attention, was the selection of the songs - each one being so different from the other. Gautam Choudhury is no new name in the world of harmonica. His style is so unique that each song becomes a soothing experience to one's ears. Be it the romantic numbers like Kis Liye Maine Pyaar Kiaa, Chura Liya Hai Tumne or the philosophical numbers like Musafir Hun Yaaron, Anewaalaa Pal, Gautam Choudhury plays them all with equal skill. The feelings and the ...

Sound of Harmonica - at its best!

It was a pleasant surprise and a treat to the ears! Another great album from Gautam Choudhury - who over the years has given a new dimension to popular Indian songs with his on-the-dot harmonica renditions.

Eagerly waiting for the next album...

'Remembering Pancham'.. a master's Stroke frm Gautam Choudhury indeed..

I am delighted to say that today I have collected The CD from a Kolkata store and enjoyed 'Remembering Pancham',latest presentation frm Mr. Gautam choudhury.
All the songs are gracefully selected and played in original scale with baritone sound.one can easily sing with the Nos.
I am not a competent guy at all to comment on his style of playing. After listening only one word...he s a MUSICIAN of DIFFERENT STROKE. A class harmonica player of India.
There is a line ' maine toh gujara ji...

Remebering Pancham

I received the CDs this afternoon from Flipkart. I am listening. It ios great. It is very rarely one finds some one playing Harmonica. Harmonica, Accordian are getting lost in the World of Electronics.
I would request Gautam Choudhury to record old numbers both Hindi Movies and Bengali movie/modern/folk. How about a disc on Rabindra sangeet .
I bought a second CD I am going to gift to my niece's son who likes Harmonica.

I wish more people listen to Gautam Chowdhury's Harmonica. God bless
