Remington D5020 Hair Dryer

Basically, I've been using crappy hair dryers all my life till now. I had a Philips Salon shine 1500W dryer, which never really did anything for me, other than give my hair a lion mane look. So I finally decided to splurge a little more and get a better dryer. I had to choose between the D5020 and the 2011, but I took this because the D5020 has more power. Professional salon dryers always have higher power settings, so you can blow dry your hair without frying it, and also this minimizes the frizz!

Okay, first off, the delivery. Flipkart did a great job as always. The order was supposed to come in on a Saturday, but being a holiday, customer support called me and asked for another time when I would be available. Packaging was great, it was bubble wrapped and then placed along side these air bags. I didn't find any receipt though.

Now about the dryer. It's absolutely fabulous. It comes with the warranty booklet, a diffuser for styling curls and a concentrator for straight hair. The diffuser is actually bigger than the picture shown on Flipkart. Plug length is a little short about 1.8m, so you need to stay close to the power supply and sit down because at over 1kg, it will feel heavy if you have long hair. I have short hair, so it's not a problem.

I tried straightening today and I am very impressed. The cool shot works. Plus the motor is powerful enough so you can get an intense jet of warm air. I needed to use the high heat setting for only 5-7 minutes to dry my hair. Usually with other dryers, my hair would keep getting stuck in the fan and that was just awful. Nothing of the sort happened here. Also the dryer doesn't overheat and stop midway while you're styling, unlike the lower wattage dryers I've used.

So the end result: My hair looks great, didn't need a hair iron, there's no frizz and my hair feels soft and manageable. Totally worth the money!

Rookie at blow drying hair then brush up your skill but . Do not buy this product if you have no experience in blow drying as it 2100 W . OMG professional work with such a hair dryer. BTW if you think a hair dryer will make your hair look great well honey with such a powerful dryer your hair can look hideous so practise . Remington hair has 3 heat setting and 2 speed setting which is good as you don't get so much options in other hair dryer . It has a diffuser which is best thing about this hair dryer you can curl your hair and you don't need a curler, plus you can dry your hair with a diffuser easily . It has 3 year warranty which other brans don't not offer

What I love about this dryer is that it is not heavy and looks chic. What I hate about it is the fact that it came sans an instruction booklet! I never used a dryer at home and have only some fuzzy idea (that too after lot of online search)about ''cool shot'', ''turbo setting'' etc... As for the attachments......what do I do with those?? The round one is HUGE and rather scary!! I am not even sure if that is to be used on the scalp :D Had to ask Google uncle a lot of questions.

I am using only the ''cool shot'' function. Scared of using heat on my hair. Thought that in winter, a dryer that give out room temperature air is better than sitting shivering under the fan. Works well in this regard.

Hey Everyone! First of all your choice of purchasing this model is right. This is an amazing blow-dryer. It has three speed and heat settings with a turbo and cool shot. The cord is long enough, at least for me it is. Flipkart took forever to deliver this product to me but at the end, the product was alright with no fault. I've had 2 blow-dryer's prior to these which were the two mistakes of mine. Although it is expensive, it's worth each penny.

Pros:
1. Looooonnnnnng cord
2. 3 speed settings, 3 heat settings.
3. Two extra attachments.
4. Frizz free hair.

Cons
1. Makes noise.
2. Because the cord is long, it's a hassle. It getts all knotty.
3. EXPENSIVE. But that's what Flipkart is here, we get discount. But otherwise..

Firstly talking about the delivery,as always flipkart did a great job...packaging was really very good with air bubble all over the product.now coming to dryer,it looks beautiful with silver & black body,cord is verryyyyyyyy long,slim concentrator,and diffuser(its very biggg in size).when i tried straightening..it did its job done and it gave that extra shine to my rough curly hair..!!!i don't know how to use diffuser..have to ask google chacha...its the best product.. Definitely recommend :D
