Lauren Weisberger’s Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, the sequel to the acclaimed The Devil Wears Prada, deals with Miranda Priestly, who is back to make Andy’s life a living hell.

    Summary Of The Book

Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns continues the story of Andy, now in her thirties, and Miranda Priestly.

Andy, a successful magazine co-editor with her former nemesis Emily, is getting married. While she dreams of a happy obstacle-free wedding, her former boss, Miranda Priestly, is back in her life. This novel narrates the events ten years after Andy Sachs quit her job as Miranda Priestly’s assistant at Runway magazine. While most people would kill to have that job, Andy along with Emily, moved on and started working for a successful bridal magazine, The Plunge. Both women enjoy controlling the marketing and editing of this magazine.

From planning media parties to securing more clients, Andy does it all. She meets Max Harrison, the head of a media empire, during this wonderful period in her life. The plot does not just deal with Andy finding her soul mate. It also includes Miranda, who tries to claw her way back to the top. But first, she has to pretend to be nicer and friendlier before she can play with the top guns. The only problem standing in Miranda’s way is Andy. Will she be able to secure high-end clients like Rafael Nadal?

The wedding becomes front page news. But, all the happiness comes to a screeching halt as Andy receives a letter that changes her life for good. All her efforts to build a better life and career ends. Will she be able to recover and salvage what she has built for ten years? With the Devil back in the picture, will Andy have her dream wedding or will she have to succumb to unreasonable demands?

Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns was published in 2013.

This is a must read for the Miranda Priestly fan/hate club

One may always argue that Lauren's language is kitschy, too much fashion and more of a girl's day out but that is like saying John Grisham books has too much law in it ... The book is answer to the wait and one of her better ones ... I must also add that if you like her earlier books this is for you ..

Not worth spending any money or time!

This book was such a let down. The prequel was good but this was so bad. I can't even explain my plight while reading this novel. There is absolutely no story and the ending was so bland and just plain bad.

    Something Lacking

Flipkart as always delivered my purchase is less than a day. Although I had bought this to make up for free shipping (Curse ye, Flipkart for making me spend), I thought it would be an enjoyable read.
I finished the book in a day, so I cant say it didnt grip me.

On a personal note, I found the book a tad pointless and the main protagonist, Andrea Sachs a bit too whiny. Miranda wasn't enough of a bitch. And it dragged in some places. And really, did it have to end that way? How cliched can the...

    A complete letdown

SPOILER ALERT : there's no revenge in this book...... i think the writer tried to keep up with the previous catchy title and therefore the book was named so..... the point is there's no resemblance with the previous book except for the characters..... nd the most disappointing part was the devil itself is absent.... except a few guest appearances Miranda Priestly was a no-show. After a few hundred pages the book turns into a mommy read with pros and cons of being pregnant and having a baby. A...

The sequel ends with a massive letdown

This book started off with a good plot describing how Andy has established a rather perfect life for herself. BUT it just goes on and on for more than half the book without even so much as a mention of a planned revenge by Miranda Priestly. Its only in the last three chapters that catastrophe occurs (I don't know if I can even call it that) and everything comes falling down, along with the prospect of it being a good read. The author fails to recreate the excitement expressed in Devil Wears P...

Revenge Wears Prada : A disappointment beyond words...

I bought this book because I was impressed by the narrative style of the author in the first book 'Devil Wears Prada'. The sequel is a complete disaster. It might be cruel to compare the two books, but one cannot deny that the first book was loads better. This book is just like any other M&B book that goes around in a pointless plot. For all you know, you might dislike this book so much that you'd prefer not reading more than fifty pages....
    Verdict : Thumbs down...
