The Bestseller... She Wrote
Not definitely one of the best romantic reads, but typical travelling material, to kill time. I was sent the book for a review and took me 2days to complete as I found it boring in places. I have high expectations from this genre as I have read the best in romance. Ravi Subramanian did not disappoint me completely but yes he did not impress me. Initial reading gave me hints of another Chetan Bhagat novel (his novels always bored me to death) and I did not keep the book aside for couple of hours, but to write this I had to finish it. The publishing industry, human relationships, extramarital affairs is what makes the base of this book. The stories with the routine IIT-IIM background really don’t strike me and sadly this book had the same – IIM Bengaluru. I wonder if other colleges/universities and institutions do not have bright students, all the nerds/intelligent are in IIT’s and IIM’s and I guess this is what sells the most in the literary industry. For many the stories of banks are boring, but this one was more boring and dull read than the previous If God Was a Banker, The Incredible Banker, The Bankster and The Bankrupt. If you are interested in reading romance genre written by a thriller writer to know how he attempted, than you can go for this. Happy reading ?
