Rich Dad Poor Dad (Paperback) Price: Rs. 175

Rich Dad Poor Dad (Gujarati), written by Robert T. Kiyosaki, offers invaluable advice on how to achieve financial independence by making your money work for you.

Summary Of The Book

Rich Dad Poor Dad (Gujarati) provides a rationale for the basis that a person’s own mindset and thought process have a huge influence on his ability to create and manage wealth. It talks about the ways of becoming financially intelligent by applying certain principles that work, such as owning high value assets like real estate or a business, becoming an entrepreneur, investing wisely, and so on.

Some of the key points highlighted are the differences between the rich and the poor, in terms of their attitude towards money and the way they teach their children to handle it. Kiyosaki explains the difference between an asset and a liability, and points out that a home can be considered an asset only if it is creating revenue for you. He gives examples from his personal life and talks about having been raised in Hawaii, and how the key decisions in his life were influenced by two distinct entities, a rich dad and a poor dad.

The original book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, was deemed a runaway success having sold more than 26 million copies worldwide. It was also featured on the Oprah Winfrey show. The book’s success prompted Kiyosaki to create and host the ‘Rich Dad’ TV Series for major channels across the US.

About Robert T. Kiyosaki

Born on the 8th of April, 1947, Robert Kiyosaki is a Japanese American native of Hawaii. Kiyosaki has written and published several books in the self-help Rich Dad series and other books such as If You Want To Be Rich & Happy, Don't Go to School: Ensuring Lifetime Security For Yourself And Your Children, Rich Dad's Rich Kid, Smart Kid: Giving Your Children A Financial Headstart, Rich Dad’s Success Stories, Rich Dad's Conspiracy Of The Rich: The 8 New Rules Of Money, and An Unfair Advantage: The Power Of Financial Education.

He writes mostly self-help books on how to achieve financial success, drawing examples from a rich dad, poor dad perspective, comparing these two distinctly different mindsets of handling personal finances, to explain his views.

Kiyosaki graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy in New York and served as a Helicopter Pilot in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war in 1972. Thereafter, he worked at the Xerox Corporation as a salesman. Over the next decade, he spent his time starting small businesses (marketing wallets and licencing t-shirts) that did not sustain over time. However, he continued to amass a number of successful business ventures and investments. A former financial columnist on Yahoo Finance, Kiyosaki is married and lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Very nice book. Worth reading.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is one of the most insightful and useful books for our generation. This book is not just about money. It's about how we are taught to think, how we are programmed by schools, family and friends. It may totally revolutionize your outlook not only on making money, but also on education. I wish everyone would read this.

I have gifted this book to few of my friends and they really loved it.
