A revamp of the classic Planet of the Apes film series, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is a critically acclaimed 3-time Saturn Award-winning action-drama sci-fi film, the legacy of which is just as immense a blockbuster as this. A prequel to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and directed by Rupert Wyatt, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes stars Golden Globe Award-winner James Franco of 127 Hours fame, Freida Pinto (the leading lady in Slumdog Millionaire), Tony Award-winner John Lithgow, Primetime Emmy Award-winner Brian Cox and the ingenious 2-time BAFTA Award-nominee Andy Serkis (played the role of Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy). Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes tells the tale of a gifted scientist named Will Rodman, who, in hopes of creating a drug that’ll cure brain ailments like Alzheimer’s disease, experiments on chimpanzees. Unfortunately, the project is terminated by Will’s boss due to the actions of a chimpanzee named Bright Eyes, who, despite showing signs of enhanced intelligence, goes into an unearthly fit of rage. However, Will manages to save Bright Eyes’ baby who is named Caesar by Will’s ailing father. Eventually, due to a series of hapless misunderstandings, Caesar is sent into captivity. Can the innocent and misinterpreted Caesar somehow redeem himself? Or will he be just another victimized monkey?

Rise of our ancestors and of their valuesThis movie shows and with a lot of emotion why "the monkey is the father of the man".

Great prequel to the planet of the apesIts unfair for andy serkis is not nominated for the oscars only because motion capture is still not accepted as direct acting.rupert wyatt's version is awesome, though the adventure is short at 100 mins.WETA (Lord of the rings) deserve a special mention for bringing the motion capture to mind blowing animation.i would say the textures are even better than avata.

The best of 2011 summer blockbusterThis movie is so good. Best of the summer movies released this year. Andy Serkis as Caesar the ape is brilliant. Hope he gets a Oscar nomination this time. As of for Flipkart, the delivery was prompt.
