The Role Of Youth In Rural

In the present scenario of the society, youth has to play a prominent role to provide leadership for the future and also in implementation of the developmental programmes. In order to create awareness among the youth about their roles to be played in the society, thereby enhancing their capabilities in leading society towards development. National Reconstruction corps scheme was launched by the Government of India as a pilot project in two phases covering 120 districts all over the country. The scheme is a operation for the last two years. In order to findout the extent of the success of the scheme and shortcomings in any the scheme has to be evaluated at an early stages so as to replicate and to rectify them respectively. On the advice of the planning commission, Government of India the present task of evaluation was commissioned by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Dr. P A Reddy, He took his bachelor degree in Science and education from Bangalore University, post graduation and Doctoral Degrees in Adult \Education from S V University and M.Ed. from Annamalai University. He is at present with the Department of Adult Education in S V University Tirupati. He has undergone training in youth and Adult Education in Denmark and ad opportunities to study adult and non formal education programems in Denmark, Sweden and West Germany during visit to these coutnries. He has so far published 50 research papers in various reputed education, adult education and social science journals.
