It a perfect blend for Dev Anand fans. Gives a crystal clear view of Dev sahab's life and the Indian film industry. The book really takes you back the pre and post era of Indian Independence and the development of the Hindi film industry. When I try to visualize those days in 1940 onwards my thoughts also go black and white and slowly they regain colors when they reach 1970. As per the book 70's were the most amazing times. I wish he was still alive.

Dev Anand pours out his heart into this. There is no pretence to be somebody else, a very honest and enjoyable account of his life. Many parts in it are really motivating. Takes through his entire journey right from the time he was in Gurdaspur of then the undivided India. Really enjoyed knowing about him

Dev sahaab has written his stories in a very attractive style; elegant English, I must say! He has written about almost all his friends & of their influential behavior in his life. I liked the book very much & its definitely worth reading.

There are very few people who can match his ability and talent. He came from nowhere to dominate the film industry and became one of the greatest actors of all time. His movies and life prove that effort and capability are more important than anything else. All of us can learn many things from this remarkable person and his life. It is a must read for all his fans and indeed one of the best biographies I have read.
