About the Author
C. Satapathy is a Member of the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal. Previously he was a Commissioner of Customs in Mumbai. He has represented India at the WTO negotiations on Rules of Origin during 1996-2001. He was Vice-Chairman of the Technical Committee on Rules of Origin in Brussels and has chaired plurilateral discussions on Chemicals and Textiles Rules of Origin in Geneva.

He has over 45 publications on Customs and International Trade topics to his credit including two books on Customs Valuation.
