Virgin lands or less known/explored areas have been attracting curious tourists these days. Rural areas prove to be these ideal areas. Unfortunately, in developing countries in general and in India particular, rural areas are backward and devoid of economic development. Though mostly, rural areas may have abundant natural resources only problem is of infrastructure e.g. road and accessibility, housing and lodging, medical facilities and water management etc. Thus promoting tourism in rural areas can pave the way of rural development..
