What's Next Lord?

One of the greatest gifts and biggest challenges that God can give is the Holy Ministry. It is the greatest gift because there is no higher calling than to be charged with the care and feeding of God's sheep and bringing the message of the Gospel of salvation to those who are lost. It is the biggest challenge because the responsibility for the welfare of a person's eternal soul knows no equal and with that responsibility comes a life so filled with unusual situations that few can imagine.
The pastoral profession has come to be one of the most varied occupations there is, one filled with all kinds of interesting stories. I have often cried and many times laughed at where my Lord has taken me. It has been a wild ride and yet lots of fun. So I would like to share the joys, the laughs, the sorrows and pain of a life of serve to the Lord. I invite you to hang on for the ride and laugh and cry with me at the situations of life. Along the way we'll identify with human nature at its best, worst and funniest.
Theological students may read this book and gain valuable insight because seminary courses in pastoral theology guide students on how to operate on the basis of scriptural principles in certain situations, but the examples are often ivory tower. In these pages I present the real world in the ministry with gusto, humor, pathos, romance and insight.
