Awesome! Review by Ruby ConleyFascinating! This child's views and battles with each challenge makes me realize that strength and love are a winning combination. I truly enjoyed the personal and very detailed accounts as his mom tells the many journeys he encounters with each diagnosis. Her added private thoughts, of the public, medical persons are somewhat humorous, but in some stories the tears flow. What a marvelous way to understand the very uniqueness of an individual, and the love of a parent, battling for normalcy in the world of her Autistic son. As if Downs syndrome is not enough, he endures catatonia and Bi-polar disorder, topped of with autism! His strength and life is a story of faith, determination and courage. The book holds many educational resources to help a child suffering with the above mentioned challenges, but most of the ways are invented by his mom. Very well written and informative and entertaining book. Read it, you will not be disappointed. Ruby
Eli ROCKS! Review by Tony DamronI purchased this book for a friend...but upon receiving it, I decided to read it. My own child has autism, age 6, and I just needed to see the things I may be in for in the future. Eli had many of the traits my son exhibits, and I was very impressed with the ways his family dealt with each. Informative, tons of humor and you will fall in love with Eli. He is a very exceptional boy!!!!
fabulous Review by sara tolbertWell, there are many books written by parents. This book is quite different in the way the parent shares truth in her thoughts of her son and how the world views him. I am impressed she found many ways to deal with the incidents that arose. Today we have internet, groups and information to deal with our children's problems. This parent was not only young, age 20, this was 30 years ago when nothing was there to help. This amazing family laughed, loved and raised a very unique child into a prosperous adult.
The book made me laugh and cry and change my outlook towards people with "differences" Thanks for publishing honesty!
