We've made it easy for you to view and update your account and orders any time through "My Account". "My Account" allows you complete control over your transactions at flipkart. You can
- manage/edit all your personal data like address, phone numbers, email ids
- change your password
- track the status of your orders
- How do I know my order has been confirmed?
Once your payment has been successfully made, your order is processed internally (and immediately). Flipkart will send a confirmation mail for your order, to the email address associated with your Flipkart order/account. In this mail you will be provided with a unique Order ID (eg. OD01202130213) for your reference with our customer service team, a listing of the item/s you have ordered and an expected time of delivery.
- Is it possible to order a product that is 'Out of Stock'?
Unfortunately, we do not have these products available for sale, but please use the "Notify Me" feature and we will let you know once it is available for sale at Flipkart.
- Why are there varying prices for the same titled book?
Flipkart offers various editions of the same titled book. Some editions might be collector's first/earlier prints. Some editions might be hardcover, while some might be paperback - as mentioned on the product page. Some editions might be re-published/printed within India, while some editions may be imported. We mention the various editions and alternative prices available for a particular title on the respective product pages under 'Other Editions'.
- Is it necessary to have a Flipkart account to shop?
While it is not necessary to have a Flipkart account to shop and purchase items, it is certainly recommended to have one. You can shop by providing just your email ID.
- What do I need to know before getting an order gift wrapped?
1. Additional amount of Rs. 30/- will be charged for gift wrapping an order.
2. Cash-on-Delivery will not be available for a gift wrapped order.
3. No invoice will be sent if the gift wrapped order contains books.
4. For all articles (other than books), we are obliged to include the invoice, for logistical, legal and octroi/tax reasons.
5. The larger articles such as televisions, refrigerators, microwave ovens, etc will not be gift wrapped.
- What is the Wallet?
The Wallet is a prepaid instrument that enables one to shop on Flipkart.com multiple times by making a payment only ONCE. You make a payment for a certain amount and this will be added to your account as prepaid balance in your Wallet. When you make an order, you can choose to use the Wallet as the mode of payment and the amount will be deducted from the balance in your Wallet.
- Why should I use the Wallet?
Using the Wallet to place orders on Flipkart.com allows you to avail of the following advantages:
- Make one payment and shop multiple times
- Simpler and faster check-out process
- No more worries of failed payment transactions
- How do I sign up for a Wallet?
All you need to do is Sign-Up or Log-In to your Flipkart.com account to begin using your Wallet.
- How do I fill money into my Wallet?
In order to fill or recharge your Wallet,
- Log in to your Flipkart.com account
- Goto the Wallet page in the Accounts section
- Enter the amount you want to recharge with
- Go through the check-out process as usual
- How much money can I fill into the Wallet?
The upper limit on each Wallet refill is Rs. 10,000.
- How do I view my Wallet balance?
In order to view your Wallet balance,
- Log in to your Flipkart.com account
- Go to the Wallet page in the Accounts section
Also, once you log in, the Wallet balance will be visible in the header section of Flipkart.com
- Why do I see multiple balances in my Wallet?
The Wallet can comprise of three components:
1. Topped-Up Balance: This component refers to the prepaid credit balance in your wallet that you have purchased using your Credit, Debit Card or Netbanking for use against future orders. The amount residing in this component is not refundable.
2. Store Credit: This is the credit offered by Flipkart.com typically in lieu of a cancelled order. The amount residing in this component can be completely refunded to you (if you so choose).
3. Promotional Balance: This is credit granted by Flipkart.com purely for promotional or goodwill purposes. The amount residing in this component is not refundable. The Wallet balance is sum total of the three components mentioned above.- How do I redeem Wallet balance?
In order to use your Wallet balance,
- Add items to your cart
- Go through the usual check-out process
- In the payment step of check-out, choose Wallet as the mode of payment
- How does the Wallet redemption work?
For redemption, please note the following two points:
- The total balance in the Wallet (irrespective of the source) will always be available for redemption.
- During redemption, the non-refundable section of the wallet gets deducted first, followed by the refundable section. This has been done to extend maximum benefit to you, so that, as much as possible, the left over amount in the Wallet is refundable.
- What do I do if my Wallet balance is insufficient?
In case your Wallet balance is lower than the total amount payable, you can make a partial payment using your Wallet and then pay the remaining amount using any of the other prepaid payment options. Please note that Cash-on-Delivery cannot be combined with a Wallet payment.
- Can I transfer my Wallet balance?
No, the Wallet is associated with your Flipkart.com account only. The Wallet balance in your account cannot be transferred to other accounts.
- What is the Refund Policy for the Wallet?
The refund policy of the Wallet is governed by the type of balance you maintain in your Wallet account.
1. Topped-Up Balance: This component refers to the prepaid credit balance in your wallet that you have purchased using your Credit, Debit Card or Netbanking for use against future orders. The amount residing in this component is not refundable.

As of 2nd February 2012, the Refunds Policy for the Wallet has been slightly modified. As per the earlier policy, the entire balance in the wallet was fully refundable. Under the updated policy, the Topped-Up balance in the Wallet will not be refundable starting 2nd February 2012.
Going forward, once you have purchased balance for your wallet, it will only be redeemable against a purchase and not a refund. All other terms with respect to the wallet remain the same.
- What if I want my existing Topped-up Wallet balance back?
We understand that you may not be entirely comfortable with the new updated policy and might want your existing Wallet balance refunded. For refund of Wallet balance purchased prior to 2nd February, kindly get in touch with our Customer Support before the 29th of February, 2012 and make a request.
- Is there any expiry date for the balance in the Wallet?
No, there is no expiry date for the Wallet balance. You will be able to use your Wallet balance at any point of time.
- Can I delete my Wallet?
Since a Wallet is associated with an account, it cannot be deleted separately. However, the usage of Wallet it totally up to your discretion. You can choose to not use your Wallet at all and this will not interfere with any of the normal flows.
- How do I make a payment for a Flipkart purchase?
Flipkart offers multiple methods to make payments for your order: Credit Card & Debit Card (including American Express), Net Banking, E-Gift Voucher and Cash on Delivery. All Credit/Debit card details remain confidential and private. Flipkart and our trusted payment gateways use SSL encryption technology to protect your card information.
- Are there any hidden charges when I make a purchase on Flipkart (Octroi, Sales Tax)?
There are absolutely no hidden charges when you make a purchase with Flipkart. We offer free delivery if the order is Rs. 200 or over, otherwise you will be charged an additional Rs. 30 for delivery. The prices listed for all items are final and all-inclusive. The prices you see on our product pages are exactly what you pay for the item.
- What is Cash on Delivery?
Cash-on-Delivery (C-o-D) is an alternate method of purchasing from us, other than Online (By Credit/Debit card and Netbanking). In the C-o-D payment terms or C-o-D service, you pay at the time of the actual delivery, rather than paying in advance.
- Are there any hidden terms and conditions for a C-o-D purchase?
The maximum order value for a C-o-D payment is Rs. 50,000. It's strictly a cash-only payment method; e-Gift Vouchers or Store Credit cannot be used for C-o-D orders.
Please note, we do not accept foreign currency as payment against a COD order.
- How do I pay using a Credit/Debit card and is it safe?
We accept all VISA, MasterCard and AmEx cards - only Indian cards are supported and not International. Customers will need to key in their 16-digit Credit/Debit Card number and the 3 digit CVV Code (Card Verification Value - found on the back of the card) and complete the payment flow.
All Credit/Debit card details remain confidential and private. Flipkart and our trusted payment gateways use SSL encryption technology to protect your card information.

- How does 'Instant Cashback' work?
The 'Cashback' offer is instant and exclusive to Flipkart.com. You pay only the final price that you see in your shopping cart.
- Placing a Cash-on-Delivery (C-o-D) Order
- All items that have the "Cash-on-Delivery Available" Icon are valid for order by Cash-on-Delivery. Add the item(s) to your cart and proceed to checkout.
- When prompted to choose a Payment Option, select "Pay By Cash-on-Delivery"
- Enter CAPTCHA text as shown, for validation.
- Once verified and confirmed and be processed for shipment in the time specified, from the date of confirmation.
- You will be required to make a Cash payment to our Courier Partner, only at the time of delivery of your order.

- What is Flipkart's Credit Card EMI scheme?
Flipkart's Credit Card EMI scheme is a payment option available for all orders that have a minimum value of Rs. 4000, where you will be required to pay the amount of your order in a specified number of installments. Flipkart offer four schemes (3, 6, 9 and 12 month) across 3 banks (ICICI, HDFC and Citi Bank).
Note: Only 3, 6 month EMI plans are available for Citibank credit cards.
- How do I make a payment using Flipkart's Credit Card EMI scheme?
Once you've added the desired items into your cart, proceed to checkout as usual. When prompted to choose a 'Payment Option', select 'Credit Card (EMI)'. Choose the bank and plan (3, 6, 9 or 12 month) of your choice and enter your credit card details. Once the payment is authorized, your order will be processed and shipped. You will need to pay the total amount, in selected number of installments, as per your credit card billing cycles.
- What are the terms and conditions for Flipkart's Credit Card EMI scheme?
The minimum order value for EMI eligibility is Rs. 4000/-.
Only ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Citibank Credit Cards are eligible for the EMI payment option.Flat EMI processing fee of Rs. 100 for 3 months, Rs. 500 for 6 months, Rs. 1500 for 9 months, Rs. 2500 for 12 months EMI will be charged.

- Buying / Gifting An e-Gift Voucher
- Enter the amount for the eGift Voucher you'd like to purchase then click "Proceed To Pay".
- The sidebar will now have the payment options. You can pay by Credit Card / Debit Card / ATM Card / Netbanking. Proceed to pay through your preferred choice, or if you need to make any changes to the value, you can always click "Edit" to modify it.
- Once you have completed the checkout process, you will receive an email containing the eGift Voucher details.
- How Do I Pay By An e-Gift Voucher?
Simple!
- Go to www.flipkart.com and select the items you want to purchase.
- When you are ready to checkout, click "Proceed To Pay", the same as our regular checkout.
- Select the "Pay By eGift Voucher" Option.
- Enter your 16-digit Voucher Number and the corresponding 6-digit PIN number when prompted.
- If the amount of your eGift Voucher doesn't cover your order total, you will be prompted to select an additional payment method.
IMPORTANT: Funds will be deducted from your eGift Voucher at the time you place your order. In case of any adjustment or cancellation at a later stage, we will (re)issue funds as credit to your Voucher.
- Does my e-Gift Voucher Expire?
All eGift Vouchers will expire 1 year from their date of creation.
- Can I Still Use Promotional Codes if I Use My e-Gift Voucher?
Yes, by all means!
- Is there a limit on how many e-Gift vouchers I can use on a single order?
Yes, you can use a maximum of 3 e-Gift Vouchers per order.
- What Terms & Conditions Apply To e-Gift Vouchers?
- The Flipkart.com e-Gift Voucher (“e-GV”) can only be redeemed on the Flipkart.com website.
- e-GVs cannot be used to purchase other e-GVs.
- One or more e-GVs can be redeemed against an order. e-GVs can also be clubbed with applicable Flipkart.com promotional codes.
- If the order value exceeds the e-GV amount, the balance must be paid by Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / ATM Card.
- If the order value is less than the amount of the e-GV, the outstanding balance (after deduction of order value) will reflect under e-GV balance in the My Account section.
- e-GVs and unused portions of e-GVs expire 1 year from the date of issue.
- e-GVs cannot be redeemed for Cash or Credit BUT ARE transferable.
- Flipkart.com is not responsible if an e-GV is lost, stolen or used without permission.

- What happened to my Store Credit?
- We are introducing a new prepaid payment instrument on Flipkart.com called the Wallet. The Wallet enables you to shop on Flipkart.com multiple times by making a payment only ONCE. You make a payment for a certain amount and this will be added to your account as prepaid credit under your Wallet. When you make an order, you can choose to use the Wallet as the mode of payment and the amount will just be deducted from the balance in your Wallet.The Wallet will now replace the existing Store Credit feature on our website, and your existing store credit balance will be transferred to the Wallet.
- How do I check the current status of my orders?
You can review the status and other information of all your orders, whether pending or fulfilled, that you have placed with Flipkart.com. To check the status of your pending orders, click on the “My Account” link in the top right of any page on our store. This will take you to your My Account page, where you can click on the “My Orders” link to view the status of all orders.
To view the status of a specific order, click on the “Order Number”. After your order is shipped out from our warehouse, we will send you a mail with the shipping details.- What do the different order status mean ?
Payment Pending Authorization : Your order has been logged and we are waiting for authorization from the payment gateway.
Payment Authorized, Order under Processing : We have received authorization from the payment gateway and are processing your order.
Order Shipped : Your order has been shipped out of our warehouse and is on its way to your delivery location.
Order Canceled : The order was canceled.- When and how can I cancel an order ?
You can cancel your order before it reaches the "Order shipped" state. You can do so by sending us an email via our Contact Us Form with the order number.

All Electronics sold on Flipkart are sourced from Indian suppliers authorized by the Manufacturer. They come with minimum 1 year Manufacturer's warranty & are serviceable at the corresponding brand's Authorized Service Center(s) in India, unless specified otherwise.
For Mobile Accessories, the supplied accessories inside the box have 6 months manufacturer warranty.
All Electronics (Mobiles, Gaming Consoles, Cameras, Laptops, Personal & Health Care Products) are covered by free insurance coverage against theft and damage during transit.
- How much are the delivery charges?
Flipkart provides free delivery on all items if your total order amount is Rs. 200/- or more. Otherwise Rs. 30/- is charged as delivery charges.
- What is the estimated delivery time?
The estimated time of delivery is mentioned on every page. It may differ from one item to another. Please read below for an explanation of delivery estimates:
Mentioned as 3 days delivery time: These items will also be mentioned as "In Stock". For all areas serviced by reputed couriers the delivery time will be 3 business days. For other areas, orders will be sent by Registered Post through the Indian Postal Service which may take 1-2 weeks depending on the location. Business days exclude public holidays and sundays.
Mentioned as more than 3 days delivery time: We procure and ship the items within the time specified on the item details page. Some items have to be imported from outside India. These items are mentioned sometimes as "Imported" on the item details page and can take 10 or more days to reach you. You can always rest assured that you will receive your order within the time specified.Preorder or Forthcoming: These items are soon to be released and we prebook your item for you. The item will be shipped to you on the day of it's official release launch. The Preorder duration varies from item to item. Once known, release time and date is mentioned. Eg: 5th May, August 3rd week.
For Out of Stock items: Currently we do not have these products available for sale. Please use the "Notify Me" feature and we will let you know once it is available for sale at Flipkart.com.
Permanently Discontinued:This product is no longer available on Flipkart because it's obsolete and/or production for it has been discontinued.
With every order, you will receive an email containing the details of the order placed by you. Once we ship the item(s), you will receive another email containing the shipping details.
How will the delivery be done?
We process all deliveries through reputed couriers.
If there is no courier service available in your area, we will ship your non-electronics items ( i.e. except Mobiles, Gaming Consoles, Cameras, Laptops) via Government Registered Bookpost or Speedpost. If your order contains an electronics item (Mobiles, Gaming Consoles, Cameras, Laptops) we will get in touch with you and try to work out a convenient alternate delivery location that is serviced by our courier partners.
All Electronic Items are Insured for theft & damages during transit.- What about warranty and hidden costs (sales tax, octroi etc.)?
There are no extra taxes, hidden costs or additional shipping charges. The price mentioned on the website is the final price. What you see is what you pay. Our prices are all inclusive. All taxes are included with the list prices.
- Why does the estimated delivery time vary from product to product?
Items which are labeled 'In Stock' on their respective product pages, are stocked in our various warehouses and usually takes 2-3 business days to reach our customers. Items which we will need to procure or import, are labeled 'Imported' on their respective product pages - the delivery of these items can vary between 2 and 4 weeks. Products which you can pre-book, and are labeled as 'Forthcoming' are dispatched on the release date of the particular product - release dates are mentioned on the product page.
- What is the 3 Day Price Guarantee for Mobiles?
Due to the nature of product, there may be fluctuations in price from time to time. If you have purchased a phone from us and you see a drop in price in the 72 hours following your purchase, do bring it to our notice. The difference in amount will be refunded to you.
- What about the warranty for mobile accessories?
Unless otherwise specified, there will be no warranty for mobile accessories. However, if there is defect or malfunctioning within 30 days of receiving the accessory, please contact us and we will try to resolve the issue for you. If you encounter problems at a much later date (after the first 30 days), we will not be in a position to help you and you will need to contact the brand's Service Center for assistance.
- Does Flipkart deliver internationally?
Flipkart doesn't deliver items internationally. You are more than welcome to make your purchases on our site from anywhere in the world, but you'll have to ensure the Delivery Address is within India.
- How are items packaged?
All items are carefully packaged at our warehouses - as to avoid any form of damage. We ensure the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile (electronic) items are safely secured with bubble wrap.
- What should be done if I find my electronic product has been opened or tampered with upon delivery?
All electronic items are insured against theft and damages incurred during transit.
- How can I track the delivery of my order?
All Flipkart items are delivered through reputed courier partners (including our own internal courier service - Flipkart Logistics) - who will provide you with a Tracking ID for your order by which you can track your delivery on the respective websites of our courier partners.
- What is the 30 Day Replacement Guarantee? How do I get a defective item, ordered on Flipkart.com, replaced?
30 Day Replacement Guarantee
All physical products sold on www.flipkart.com are covered under our 30 Day Replacement Policy. Notify us of any manufacturing defects or product damages at the time of delivery or within 30 days from the date of delivery, and we will issue a brand new replacement to you at no extra cost.
In order to get a defective item replaced
- Contact Customer Care via the Contact Us Page or call us on 1800 102 3547, within 30 days from the date of delivery.
- The defective product or part will be recalled and a replacement will be shipped immediately.

- Replacement can be for the entire product or part(s) of the product subject to availability of the same with flipkart.com.
- Replacement is offered for the products sold by flipkart.com only.
- How do I cancel an order on Flipkart.com? Alternatively, how do I return a product ordered on Flipkart?
For outright cancellations by you:
If you cancel your order before your product has shipped, we will refund the entire amount.
If the cancellation is after your product has shipped, you can do one of the following:
1. If your product has shipped but has not yet been delivered, contact Customer Support and inform them of the same.
2. If you received the product, it will be eligible for replacement, only in cases where there are defects found with the product. Please refer to the 30 Day Replacement Guarantee above.
Note: All Electronics are Insured against theft and damages incurred during transit. If you receive a package that is open or looks to have been tampered with, do not accept it. Contact Flipkart Customer Care on 1800 102 3547, and we will have the issue quickly resolved.
Following shall not be eligible for return or replacement -
• Damages due to misuse of product;
• Incidental damage due to malfunctioning of product;
• Any consumable item which has been used or installed;
• Products with tampered or missing serial / UPC numbers;
• Digital products and services (Flyte music downloads);
• Any damage / defect which are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty;
• Any product that is returned without all original packaging and accessories, including the box, manufacturer's packaging if any, and all other items originally included with the product(s) delivered;

The number of printed pages in this edition may be lesser than the total number of pages mentioned, with additional blank pages being added solely to facilitate binding. This is done in the case of reproductions and antiquarian texts, where the subject matter does not exceed the minimum number of pages required for binding.
