Execellnt product But no adapter provided.
I thought reviews of SSDs (rather utility of an SSD) on the net were biased.Still give it a try and gambling of rs6500 approx on my new APU build. I gave me a new level of computer experience. A lightening fast Win7 64 loading everytime, even "open office"/Kaspersky also loading in 1/10th of time that of 7200rpm seagate.I am very satisfied.
To Samsung: Providing a SATA2 cable worth rs 100 and a 2.5 or 3.5" adapter of even plastic will not make your compay bankrupt but will prove you care.

it's Time for a change.
So some of the things i noticed after installing this SSD:
- really fast boot-up.
- when i hibernate or shut it down it does it pretty pretty fast. Unlike the older computers where we had to wait even to shut down the system.
- applications ( like Photoshop, After-effects and premiere, all CS6 ) starts-up within seconds. In my system it takes just 2-3 seconds.
- Read/Write speed is superb. Transfer rate is quite high.
- very low power consumption + zero noise.

Great Drive For The Price!!!
Hey guys Samsung is the only company which manufactures each and every part of their ssd's including the firmware.This drive is sort of an upgrade to its 830 drive.this runs on a samsung designed 3 core controller which is better than the sandforce and performs equivalent or better than indilinx controller.
There is also an pro version of this drive i.e 840 pro which is one of the top performer in the ssd market.Coming to this ssd

Awesome SSD
At the price that you are paying, this SSD is does a pretty cool job. There are only 2 Brands that you can rely on, Samsung and Crucial. Though I didn't find any problem, but I hope that Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD's will be more awesome than this one. Buy this SSD but don't expect any Extreme performance.
Windows boot up in 9-10 Seconds.
I will give 4.5 out of 5.

You should go for it..........
Really nice SSD , the cheapest and the best 120 gb ssd out there. READ/WRITE upto 500/400 Mbps .Finally bought this one after checking out numerous brands. In terms of SSD's this one is a complete package.
One time you use SSD then you will never use a normal hdd.
Boot up speed 3 sec for Win 8.1 Shut down in 2-4 sec.
System is like rocket now...:)

Worth every penny
Amazing job by flipkart, just took 2 days for delivering.
Straight to the point, this ssd has a write speed of 130 Mbps and a read speed of 530mbps.
Yes the write speed is less compared to other 120gb ssd but the read speed is very good and is even comparable to high end ssd.
when it comes to a single ssd used in a system the write speed is not so important becoz
if you have to write any data into an ssd you have to read it from some other storage and no other storage has read speed greater...

Firstly I have to thank Flipkart for the speedy delivery of this item. It was supposed to arrive on Monday instead I got it on Saturday afternoon. Total delivery time was just over 24 hours from time of order.
I was using an HDD with Windows 7 64 Bit before this, So I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on this new Samsung SSD and made it my primary drive.

It's good, perfect for my requirements.
Bundled software for disk cloning is pretty good.
Packaging could have been a bit better though.
This had just a bubble wrap for protection.
Sadly, I thought this was the kit and came with the tray & SATA cable. Sadly, I was mistaken. This is only the SSD without any other stuff.

Good SSD for the price
Tweaked my Linux for optimized performance. It works great. Not so good on Windows.
For best results
Turn vm.swappiness = 0
make the disk scheduler "noop"
disable atime, mtime
for good life limit disk writes to 10GB/per day (it does not happen if you are copying large files on and off the drive everyday).
