mPower Txt M369 is excellent phone for CDMA. I think this is the only good looking / working phone in CDMA. Being we are using Reliance and I bought 3 phone for my family members. As always flipkart offers lower prices than market, and you need not to search here & there for this particular model.
CDMA technology offering better speech quality than GSM and network coverage but lack of mobiles instruments they are loosing the customer base.
Battery bit average in this model (1 Amps only), earlier my old samsung offers great backup than this.
ANA good CDMA phone.
As some one who has purchased this product, I feel very angry and disappointed with this company Samsung for the following reasons mentioned below. CANNOT THIS COMPANY SAMSUNG TEST THEIR PRODUCTS BEFORE RELEASING TO THE MARKET?
I bought this product in order to send SMS in the Tamil language. The product features are described in Samsung Mobile Club among other websites which claims that this product supports 9 Indian languages in its applications. After opening the pack, I realized that only the menus are in Indian languages. 2 of the menus in the Tamil language are incorrect.
The worst part of this phone is that when user inserts a Speed 2 MicroSD card and hits the centre button, the phone goes into "loading" screen which lasts for as long as 5 minutes. INCOMING CALLS ARE NOT DETECTED BY THE HANDSET DURING THE LOADING PERIOD. A second press of the centre button again the phone to enter into "loading" for the next 5 minutes.
Note that this problem of repeat loading is not there with a Type 4 or Type 6 (higher speed) microSD. But the question is why cannot incoming calls get detected while it is reading the card? THIS PRODUCT IS CLEARLY NOT FULLY TESTED BY SAMSUNG BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED. When the specs says it supports microSD cards upto 16GB, it clearly means it supports lower cards and ALL SPEED GRADES.
For call forwarding, there is no way to set the forwarding number, the phone expects you to call the operator. Then why even provide the menu option??
For playing music in the directory mode, if you play mp3 (music file), the play stops after a single file. Does not their design team know, that user expects the next file to be played automatically. This phone expects the user to hit the "next" key.
If you are looking to buy this phone, I suggest to buy Mpower S239. S239 does not go into hanging condition and is cheaper than. At least you get incoming calls anytime. S239 also allows you to send SMS in 9 Indian languages.
Samsung has not been innovating products for this big country. There is zero value in touch screens, Smart Phone etc, flip phone, slide phone etc. In India, there is a large market which needs a phone to communicate in respective Indian language (not just Hindi) through SMS and it does not take big technology to do it - just adding the fonts and language support. When a phone introduced 4 years back could do T9 (predictive text) in 5 Indian language, why does a phone introduced in 2011 have wrong menus, does not support Indian language SMS and hang with certain memory cards ? This is biggest shame .
Last note: Samsung's website is not very descriptive - customer has to depend on third party websites. I have given my feedback to the head office about lack of details of Indian language support - but time will tell if they change their website for the better.
I have been using this phone for over 06 months now. Overall a Good Phone and Decent Battery Life considering I use it quite a bit.
Initially there was a problem with the MIC and outgoing Voice Volume which turned out to be a PCB Problem but Samsung Service Centre replaced the same after much insistence. Ever since it is working fine.
Music Takes toooo Long to Load.
I would recommend it to ppl who enjoy using QWERTY phones.
Given that there are not many models to choose from in the CDMA category, Samsung MPOWER TXT M369 is a comely and cost-efficient choice and comes with easy-to-use and clutter-free features (CDMA-SIM needs to be upgraded for availing data services). Though it has a wide torso (which you can't avoid when you opt for a QWERTY keypad), it doesn't weigh much. In all, a cute piece at a reasonable price.
This is available at lowest rate here @flipkart. The cell phone has some features which require SIM card upgradation. Phone is stylish and robust otherwise we dont have much options in CDMA category.
