Samsung Duos 259

Hi,

I think this W259 is the best hand set in Dual SIM option. I am using since 20 days and it works fine.

Few - points in this hand set.

* Heavy on weight >> buy belt cover. you will not feel the weight.
* Dial Buttons and not so soft.
* Search the phone book is too slow and difficult to find the numbers as very short time given for selecting the alphabetic char.

Few Points:

* working fine.
* battery back up is good.
* Large Display.
* You can connect internet on your laptop via blue tooth. (NPS software)
* You can send sms through laptop.
* Phone book transfer on PC.
* Large memory for phone book.
* Good looking handset >> web view is poor.

Without offer this phone i bought in Rs. 6K from local Reliance Web-Word.

Using since 2 months.

4.Very good signal reception.
5.Sound quality in nice(Both voice Calls and Music)
6.Ease to switch between Sim while Making a call or sending a message(dedicated sim selection key key)
7.Good camera quality Equivalent to others 3mp camera.
8.A very good feature(Etiquette Pause)which silents the mobile If you simply turn it upside Down.
9.Good Display
10.Connects internet on your laptop via bluetooth.
11.You can send sms through laptop.
12.Phone book transfer on PC with pc suite.
Large memory for phone book.

Have you ever thought about your call status when you are busy over one sim and someone is trying to call you on the other sim?

friends believe me, I have used several dual sim phones and am back to it again. I firdt bought this phone in 2009 and it lasted for more than 4000hrs. It went dead suddenly so I had to move to another and another and finally back to it.

The answer to my question in first para is It would give you an alert and the person calling you on another sim will only get a ringing tone. Its is really safe for all who are using CDMA with GSM and it works fine with RIM and INDICOM.

Have been using this cell based on the recommendation of friends.Have tried other dual sim in the past,Samsung,cool pad which lasted the usual1-2 yrs.There are hardly any good duals sims these days so was desperate for a good one.The CDMA (reliance)works in office and GSM(mtnl) at home.
Pros-good battery life 2 days with 1 hr per day talk time,I hate touch screens so this was an ideal choice,god blue tooth range,qlty of build is v good for the price.
Cons-camera is 1.3 mp,could have been better,but you get what you pay for.
As ususal flip kart service was prompt,sealed original samsung packing,got a samsung hands free+charger and 8 gb card the list price.

Wow!! Received the phone in just 2 days with superb packing. Phone looks cool in glossy finish.

Considering all the features in mind, it seems the phone is bit overpriced. (Not mentioning Flipkart price but the market price). But, we can ignore it to some extent due to the durability, battery life and overall fit and finish. Will write the usage review in a months time.

I will recommend this product to someone who need a good phone with CDMA+GSM (Dual Active), an entry level camera, big screen size with good pixel density, FM recording and best in class battery life. Me using MTS (CDMA) + Airtel (GSM). Signal reception is good.
