I purchased a Samsung 32inch LED television from a local dealer on 12-Nov-12. But exactly seven days later, on 19-Nov-12 the product failed. There was no video appearing, however audio was working fine. I contacted Samsung service center immediately on 19-Nov-12. They took the complaint and gave me a complaint ID. I followed it up with them until 22-Nov-12, continuously for four days after product failure. However, they kept lying, saying that they had received the complaint only today on each of those four days. On 22-Nov-12, after much argument with the service personnel, they arranged for a service adviser visit.
The service adviser confirmed that the panel had failed and needed to be replaced. After which I have been trying to contact Samsung service personnel daily for panel replacement. The product is only 14 days old now and panel is covered under warranty. However, Samsung seems to be least interested in even talking to me, let alone making a tiny effort to resolve my issue.
I have lost all faith in Samsung products, not because the product they delivered was a dud (can happen with any electronic good), but because of their attitude to not even make an attempt to help a consumer who is affected by their product.
Will never every buy a Samsung product, and would suggest everybody to exercise utmost caution while deciding to buy a Samsung product.
Up-scaling is really good, So Plays DVD with High Density clarity. The Design is Sleek and Compact. Since we have Samsung TV, it’s perfectly matches. Better to keep audio cable and power cable away from each other, otherwise it gives some Hiss noise.
Bought Samsung D530 DVD Player from Flipkart using COD at Navi Mumbai. Their delivery was very prompt and much earlier than expected. The product was brand new and received in good condition in good packing; with convenience of COD mode of payment. So much so for Flipkart!
I chose this player for: its HDMI connectivity; its ability to play various formats including divx and mpeg; its reasonable price; and that it is a dependable Samsung product. I connected the HDMI to my TV, and used RCA audio to connect to my old Kenwood system. I have to disable the Anynet when I play only music on my Kenwood using D530 with TV switched off. I am satisfied with this player.
I was impressed with Samsung's AnyNet+ technology which would allow Samsung devices to be controlled by single remote. So I opted for this DVD player. However, when I connected it to my Samsung Series 5 FullHD LCD TV, I found out that my TV does not support HDMI audio. AnyNet+ only works over HDMI connection and since my TV does not support HDMI audio over HDMI connection, I cannot use AnyNet+
I have connected the DVD with RCA cables now and have to use separate remote.
The DVD player is nothing great. Plays DVDs and MP3s. Does not play AVI files. It is DivX certified and will play DivX files.
Plays only Zone 5 and All Zone DVDs. Don't buy it if you plan on playing Zone 1, 2, 3 or 4 DVDs from US, UK or Australia. even though the DVD Player can be easily reset to play all Zones but Samsung refuses to do it.
