Samsung Galaxy 551 I5510

This phone is just awesome!!!
I've used many other high end ones, but this one is really special. Just use it and understand.
For this price, you don't have much good choices.

Pros:
1. All new trendy USEFUL features available.
2. Pretty neat battery backup, 9 hours continuous music, still he was around 60% :-o
3. Android 2.2, never hung till now as I write this review.
4. QWERTY keypad is a lil plasticky, still nice one.
5. Light weight - You don't need to CARRY this phone.
6. Nice Earphones
7. In call experience is generally good.
8. It comes with a free 2GB SD card, which is OK.

Cons:
1. Low resolution - It won't make much problems, I felt it while browsing in landscape mode.
2. Low Contrast Display
3. Felt an optical trackpad missing.
4. Camera is simply disappointing [ Don't buy this if you aim a camera phone. ]

Review on flipkart : If you have not bought anything from flipkart yet, then shame on you ;)

As pointed out by some users it does have a problem with the SNS contacts.
There are however alternatives. You can use an app that manages contacts.
The only competitor to this phone is the LG Optimus 1. However some feature are missing in the LG. he only plus is with the 1500 mAh battery in the LG Phone.
The touch screen is responsive and speech clarity is ok. Music may not be great as in comparable SonyEricsson Phones. Camera is also fine but again not so great as that of HTC or SonyEricsson phones. Wifi, GPS are trouble free. No antenna problems.
But HTC or SE phones of comparable feature cost not less than 16k when i got it from flipkart at 12500 rs. Flipkart never flops in their service.

Bought this phone about 15days back and have been using it for 2 weeks now.
This is the best value for money android 2.2 phone you can get.
Pros : Excellent sync with Gmail/ Gmail Apps / Facebook
If your Phone book has a name surname which he finds in facebook, both accounts are merged and the facebook photo is added automatically. You can merge two contacts either from phone/gmail/ or facebook.
Excellent touch. Can load loads of apps, and since it is android 2.2 you can move most of the apps to SDCARD. Very fast typing with the full Slider keyboard.
supports wifi n as well. Can play games like Atilt etc as the phones got all the required sensors.
GPS can work in assisted as well as normal mode which do not require data.
Cons: Resolution on a slightly lower side.. only 240x400..
For live wallpapers you need to root the phone.. but it is possible after rooting
Battery could have been better.. with extensive use , in wifi and 3G mode it lasts only for 24hrs.!! though charging is very fast! so no problem.
The phone is Slightly Sluggish (marginally) than Wildfire. But better where faster processor is required (like angry birds)

This phone can do anything and everything that other androids can with the Free Apps that are available on market!!! ( including the bluetooth voice dial) without rooting the phone!!! Flipkart Service is good. definately go for it without doubt.

Hey dont buy this mobile have serious bugs like once you integrate contacts with SNS you would not be able to call anyone because of wrong country code which you can not change.
Samsung helpline is helpless and they blaming on android
os also poor battery is another issue , you need to charge three times a day.

Camera is poorest. Sliding is not good. A total substandard phone.

The best feature of this phone is obviously its QWERTY keypad. Apart from that it has Froyo pre-installed. Apart from flash, you can get almost any application for this phone from the market. Its camera is something to write about and it has a low contrast. Battery backup is good especially when playing music and even when playing games. Internet works great with a wifi connection. Once you plug-in the ear phones the you can change the speaker setting to 5.1 channel which sounds really good On top of it I don't think you'll find another phone with so many features in the same range.

If you know how to tweak this phone then you can even get live wallpapers, extra storage memory for all those memory hungry applications and so on.
