Hi,
I am using this phone for last two weeks. It could be too early to write a review, but let me jot down my experience with this phone.
Initially I was apprehensive about buying this model since I read ample reviews complaining about its poor screen resolution, and finally, somehow I landed up in buying this without even seeing a demo piece. And I don't regret, since I found the screen resolution as sufficiently good, much higher than my expectations (probably because I have not seen the much boasted AMOLED and LCD ones..) Daylight visibility is also not bad.
As far as the processor, I don't have any complaints. It works pretty fast, afterall I am not expecting a quad core performance from my mobile..
This is my first android phone, and I understood why people say android rocks! Widgets and applications are pretty cool, and mastering the art of handling android is not at all difficult, as against some reviews I encountered eariler.
Data and signal connectivity is good, so far no experiences of call drop.
The features I liked the most are the google maps, places (which help you locate the places of your interest nearby your current location) and the online weather info and latest news.
Net surfing is pretty fast (as against my nokia 5220) on gprs. Have not yet tried my hands on 3G.
Music player and FM radio works fine, eventhough not great. But the sound output of the inbuilt speaker seems a bit low (but I don't want to make public broadcast with my mobile.., so I am still happy with it.) However, the output quality with the headphones is fantastic. FM can be played also on inbuilt speakers, but still with the earphones plugged in.. But so far I couldn't find a button to stop and quit the music player (there is one to pause it, pressing of which stops the playback but still the pause icon remains on the notification bar for some time.)
To be frank, I am a bit disappointed with the camera, may be due to my high expectations since I own a Nikon DSLR.. The picture quality is not up to what I expected from a 5MP one. Still it is acceptable. However, I really liked the panoramic photo mode, it is really cool. Video quality is also ok, much better than what I get from my nokia (where, for the same fps rate, the video appears more like an old Charlie Chaplin movie, jerky..)
Battery life is not that poor as I read about, I am getting about 4 days standby, and 2 days with moderate use (per day about 10 calls each of about 10 minutes duration, about half an hour of net surfing, and one hour of angry birds thanks to my son..)
As is already mentioned, the processor is able to run even angry birds and some 3D car race games, without any noticeable lag.
It supports live wallpapers, accelerometer (gyro) driven games, proximity sensor etc.
The phone looks stylish, at the same time not flashy, the screen looks much bigger due to the unusual aspect ratio. Back side cover is corrugated, preventing fingerprints and smudge.
In short, the phone is pretty cool, decent and powerful, and am pretty happy with this phone, same is my son! Defenitely worth for the money. Highly recommended unless you are looking forward for a do-it-all supercomputer in your pocket.
HI,
I have got this phone from flipkart itself ( Full Marks for its Dedicated Service. Got it in 3 days Dot. )
I have been using it for 3 months now and found this phone Excellent.
Pros: This technically has all the features that are in the Mid-end brother of this phone, Galaxy Ace, but for the couple of features like LED Flash.
The picture Clarity is good.
Comes in handy in the hand and looks good.
Affordable beginning range price (10k)
Cons: NO LED Flash.
There is no 1GHz processor to *Flaunt* like its better end phones, but works Just Fine with all the applications.( though found it hanging a bit when you've got nearly complete 181MB of RAM full of applications running. That is ought to happen.)
A fully functional phone with all apps and wifi and music working can drain out the battery in arnd 10-15 hrs. Wifi takes quite a share of battery, so if you can avoid it, then the battery is fine.
This is definitely recommended over LG Optimus and Galaxy 3 or 5 and maybe even HTC's Desire which comes in around 12k.
I'd say, if you REALLY want an LED Flash, go for ACE, else, if you can compromise on it, this is a Great Buy!
Cheers,
Abhinav
Pros:
Cool looking phone, big display, very sensitive to touch (better than most others available in the market now) and best buy for a modest 10k.
Cons:
You can't see anything under bright sun, this phone scores well in all other areas as an entry level android. Angry birds framed a little and the display is not so great. No led flash and the camera is pretty much useless after 6 PM.
The Galaxy phone in one's hand would make Atlas cry , as he only has the Earth while we have the Galaxy.
The Samsung Galaxy Series has truly changed the present and future tense of Smart Phones and with that comes the mid-range Android Samsung Galaxy Fit affordable at 10,000,
The phone is a damn good and worthy of it's price tag , Has the same features as that of Samsung Galaxy Ace that comes with 15,000 and can be called it's Senior .
Samsung Galaxy Fit has all u can ask from a smart phone particularly if u need a phone for Fast Internet , Touch screen features are amazing and processor performance is much better than what I thought a 600MHz would give.
However the battery drains like anything and u have no Flash , so no point in taking photos at Night , Image quality though is fine and so are the sound and video features.
This phone is way better than any other with the same price range like LG Optimus.
However if you want to hold the Galaxy firmer , Go for Galaxy Ace.
Disclaimer : I have written this review after using the phone for three weeks.
I got this phone from flipkart a couple of days before. I ordered it on Thursday and got it by Saturday morning. Flipkart has got a really fast service. Everything on this phone is awesome except the battery life , You have to charge regularly for normal usage.
