Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is the single most reasonable tablet out there for its specs to crave for.

It comes with with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and that's a great thing.

It has 16 GB built it memory capacity, the 1GHz Dual Core processor and 1 GB RAM which is satisfying.

It can also make 2G/3G Voice Calls which is an added advantage.

Pros :

1. The 7 inch Display which is fairly bright and the colors are well saturated unlike the Galaxy Note.

2. The boot speed because of the processor.

3. No Hardware Buttons.

4. 1080p Full HD Video Playback and Recording.

5. Really responsive touchscreen which is a bliss.

6. The stunning looks and form factor.

7. The overall performance and battery life.

Cons : (which don't create much nuisance)

1. No LED Flash for the low 3MP Camera.

2. No face unlock though its an Ice Cream Sandwich device.

3. Slightly, just slightly, on the heavier side.

4. The device gets heated up miserably after much use.

5. It has USB Charging but when connected through the data cable to the computer's USB port, it does not charge.

6. No Radio, but who cares about it.

Final Verdict : Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is worth the money spent because you can't get anything better than this, from a reputed company like Samsung. With its Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System, its kills other tablets in every way possible. My suggestion, GO FOR IT if you're interested in buying a mid range tablet LOADED with tons of features !!

PS : Temple Run, Skype, Viber, Riptide GP, Angry Birds, Shadowgun and other HD Games work perfectly fine !! :D

Wow!! I was one of the first to order this in flipkart. The price was 19,900 then. Never thought they would drop the prices this soon. Anyway here is my review of the product:

PROS:-
1. Compact and relatively light weight for a tablet
2. The screen is big enough for books and small enough to not embarass you to use in a public place(with everyone looking at you)
3. The 1 Ghz dual core processor
4. Ice Cream Sandwich
5. Good for Videos and Music-supported almost every format I threw at it
6. Availability of Apps designed specifically for it
7. Decent Audio quality over the speaker
8. The dual cameras
9. 2G and 3G- Yes, you can also make calls and send msgs with this device!!
10. Pricing is good
11. Memory Card Slot

CONS:-
1. The screen isn't the best (Never set in on Auto brightness, it makes it too dark)
2. The browser doesn't support Text-Reflow which is pathetic
3. Bloatware that Samsung has included and the inability to uninstall them
4. You do not get the 16 GB of memory-Its only around 11.5 GB-12GB. The rest is eaten up by the useless apps
5. Flipkart could've bundled a Memory Card as an offer/Case for it. Finding a case is very difficult
6. NO Corning Glass!!(Are you crazy, Samsung? Every cheap phone comes with one nowadays) So guys, the beauty can't handle any scratches (The default scratch guard isn't good and a new one costs you Rs.700)
7. The device heats up like crazy on routine usage itself for half an hour (Mind you I never played any games in that session!!)
8. The Charging time- It takes 5-6 hours to fully charge it!!!!
9. No USB Charging!! ( Yes it requires more power to charge but other tabs have this basic functionality)
10. The 3 MP rear camera is mediocre (Korean phones come with 5 MP cams nowadays) No Auto-Focus too.
11. The Front Camera is useless ( Don't even think of it for making a decent Video Call, you can't even use it as a mirror :-))
12. Playing HD videos makes the audio lag. Use Dice Player for all your videos.

VERDICT:-
At this price range its a bang for the buck but take it with a pinch of salt. Samsung could've definitely included essential features without compromising on the price but they haven't. You can wait for the Google Nexus tablet which is gonna cost you 15-16k and it has a NVIDIA Quad Core processor and a HD Screen. A very strong competition for this tab. Other than that its a good buy and you won't regret buying it.
NOTE:- Flipkart has a great way of packaging and delivering things. You rock guys. Keep up the good work ( And give us a clue beforehand about Price cuts if possible;-))

Its the 16GB version thats why it costs around 19.5k. Wait for the 8GB version,ll be much less price that it. And it supports 2G calling & 3G video Calling, Most of the all its 14.4Mbps(Download),5.6Mbps(Upload) HSPA device.
8Gb version ll be around 15-16k.
No official announcements about 8Gb or 32Gb versions

it is asian and europian version WHICH HAVE 2G/3G VOICE CALL THATS WHY PRICE IS HIGHER THAN USA VERSION WHICH IS WI-FI ONLY AND AVAILABLE AT 249$

i hope 8gb model wil be a bit cheaper thab this 16gb model.. may be 17k.

I have ordered this one on Monday evening and I got the tab 2 on Wednesday at evening within 48hrs. Best service from Flip-kart.

Regarding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, its best in the 7inch tablet. I can tried for 3G call, hd games, streaming etc. If you are looking for the 7inch tablet I will surely recommend this one.
