However the catch is that it only supports Wifi and the USB dongle does not seem to work. I bought it for my dad and he has been struggling to get it going.

Ever since i bought this, Samsung has introduced a range of new tablets even cheaper than this one. support from Samsung has been lousy.

I think one should never go for a pre-release item.

I bought this Tab for my daughter a year ago and she is happy with it. Being a kid, her usage is not gentle, still there is no problem since a year. Playing games such as Temple Run (1, 2, Oz, Brave), Subway Surfers is smooth and nice. However, live streaming such as watching live IPL T20 cricket match on StarSports.com lags over Wi Fi which doesn't lag on my laptop. My overall experience good and I am happy with this and would certainly recommend.

To all those you have been worried abut no usb connection for data cards. You can use Hot Spot function in smartphones to connect net.
Biggest advantage, u do not need another SIM card and separate data plan .

This is the best tab anyone can afford.Value for money.There is no 3g dongle support for this device,but no worries.Buy MIFI device which may cost around 1.5k in Ebay and enjoy your GSM net connection.Don't waste your money buying silly calling tablet,which look awkward in my opinion.

samsung is putting all their efforts to take a grip in wifi only tablets
it is a norm that never go for first timers it is better to wait for the new updated version of this which might b equipped wid cellular facility

Flawless!!.. Built quality is excellent. Battery backup too good. Touch Screen superb. You can't get all of these in a cheaper tab from other brands though u might get more features.

Got this product in May '13. i must say i am quite satisfied with the quality of most Samsung products not so good with the technical part but the Tab's working smooth ..only con is the absence of the voice calling feature to it ..also could do with better loud speakers.. otherwise it's value for money and so far no complaints here...touch wood :)
