I9100 vs I9100G

I9100 is now getting replaced by I9100G in India and some Asian countries. Its important to know the differences:

1. I9100 has better CPU and better GPU compared to G version. G version's CPU is capped at 1008 Mhz, it seldom reaches the specified 1200 Mhz when in stress. The Mali 400 in I9100 is much better than PowerVR 540 in I9100G (this same powerVR 540 is present in Galaxy Nexus, Moto Razr, Optimus 3D etc)

2. I9100 has way better custom ROM support thanks to it being older and many devs have it. So all good roms like CheckROM, MIUI, Cyanogen mod are available. But, as the I9100G uses Ti

Buyer Beware

Would like to second thoughts of other people with regards to this phone. Samsung is selling the I9100G as Galaxy S2 in India even though it has inferior specs. I went a bought a S2 after being promised that it was indeed I9100 (not flipkart) and it turned out to be a I9100G. The display piece in the store was a I9100. The sales people were unaware that something like I9100G even exists. My advice.. if you like the specs of I9100G and willing to pay the same price as I9100, then go for it. The screen is the same even though the internals are different. If you think samsung is cheating the indi

Beware !!

Samsung is creeping in the SGS II I9100 with the G series i.e SGS II I9100G without intimation due to shortage created by high demand. Though this looks similar to the non G version, its performance is slightly lower than the former. It is reported that it does not support certain games and applications and lags in certain cases/apps.

USE CAUTION AND BUY THIS G VERSION !!!

Google search for the difference in processors ;)
It has both pros and cons !!

Its currently 29000 is samsung authorised stores itself so dont waste money by paying 30000 to retailers like wavetel, poorvika, mobilestore e

The truth behind GT-19100G

I did not buy this mobile from flipkart. But am writing this review for people who are thinking of buying it. First and foremost "yes" the GT-19100G is inferior to the GT-I9100 phone but..

1. Its a huge chance that samsung is only gonna sell this version in India. Trust me I searched a lot. Everybody I know who is buying a Galaxy S2 now is getting this model only

2. The difference is between the processor and GPU but you wont even notice(seriously). It gets quadrant scores of 3k . Probably no app will be released for quite some time which wont run on this device..

3. It is getting more supp

Samsung Galaxy S2 -i9100 & i9100G

I just bought this phone after reading a lot about it. The i9100 vs i9100G issue really helped me make an informed decision. yes the i9100 is not easy to get in india. many big outlets are not even aware of the differences.to be on the safe side i searched for the i9100 and bought it. to identify it from the box- the i9100 is mentioned as GT-i9100LKAIU while the i9100G is GT-i9100LKGIU.
For now i am enjoying using the new phone...it is fantastic !

Galaxy S2 I1900G

I read a lot of recent reviews here about the comparison between I1900 and the I1900G. I got the I1900G from a local store recently. I am not a pro android user. All i can say is i love the phone, regardless of its inferior processor and GPU, when compared with the I1900. It still gives the same bright screen, smooth touch features, a brilliant camera and superb connectivity through wifi. I haven't faced any heating issues in a week, despite heavy gaming and video viewing. Battery lasts a day and a half, which is decent for this phone. I would recommend the I1900G to any one and everyone. I di

Simply The BEST !

Put Simply, The best Smart-phone. There are several other products available in the market, but, Samsung Galaxy S2 is the best.

Some of the Pros:
1) Excellent Screen
2) Superb Camera
3) Fantastic Battery backup (Depends on how many apps you add)
4) Easily Customizable Menus
5) Crystal Clear Voice/Call Clarity
6) The leather case is of the finest quality.
7) Has a really tough body. Dropped it a couple of times, got a few scratches. That's it !

Everything has some Cons:
1) The back of the phone has a flimsy plastic. Be careful while opening and closing this.
2) Need to press the home button a
