SanDisk Cruzer Fit 8 GB Pen Drive

I was looking for a pen drive that is tiny, sturdy and fast. This pendrive is very small and make no mistake, you might end up misplacing this one very easily. It comes with a metal jacket that makes is sturdy enough.

But the plastic cap does not fully close this pendrive. Though tiny, this pendrive does come with an LED activity indicator which is good.

When plugged into laptop USB slot, this pendrive does not protrude like most other pendrives which is nice.

However, the only problem with this pen drive is its write speed. I have bought 2 of these pendrives and the write speed on both of them does not go beyond 5 MB/second. In my opinion, this is slower than other pendrives that I own (HP 220w for instance).
The pendrive does not get hot on long usage (unlike other pendrives though).

This is the sleekest/tiniest pendrive that I have seen. The build quality, sturdiness and other features do not disappoint.

Couldn't resist buying this product after seeing the size. Wanted one for the my i20. Works great in the car. (The audio quality is much better than bluetooth streaming on iPhone 4. You will not even see the drive in the car. - Not relevant here but for those who will find this helpful. )

This is so much better than other flat head tiny pendrives. The head has a nice curvy design.
Love the tiny led inside that shows the read/write status. Also has a decent read/write speed. Copying 3.78GB took me 7mins (450 Songs).

Now just have to ensure I don't loose the pendrive.

One of the smallest pendrives in da world for sure and coming from a brand like SanDisk it feels gr8 to own it.Size is same as a 50 Paise coin.

Cons:
-Cap does not close the drive completely
-Write speed could have been better
-A Lan yard should have been provided

Good pendrive if u own a laptop/netbook as it doesn't protrude and if u don't do the transfer work when r in a hurry.

I was using Kingston Pen Drive which was some 4 cm long. It was broken when i had mistakenly put it in the bag without disconnecting it from the laptop.
This time I thought of buying the pen drive which is as small as it can be. I logged to flipkart to try the Price of HP Pen Drive but saw this one and bought it.
Here are the doubts i would like to clear:
. The File Access speed of the pendrive is good or even better
. Easily detetable and installs automatically
. perfect for car audio as well as friends will keep guessing where the USB is
. can be stored in a wallet also
. has a option to put the tag is required.

Well, I wanted a pendrive exclusively for my car stereo. Requirements were clear- it should be small and should blend with the music player. I found this tiny baby here and it was the perfect one for me. It almost flush mounts on the player, color exactly matches the player and speed is not at all bad. There is a small red LED inside which blinks while operating. Also, there is a tiny(but serves the purpose) metal loop to which u can attach a tag if you have chances of misplacing it.
I've read others here telling that it is little slow. But I was able to copy a 3GB folder with around 50 subfolders in 9 mintues. I could copy it back to pc within half of that time. I dont think thats slow at all for a pendrive. U put files for copying, go for a break, come back and its done! Of course how many time in a month am I going to do that for updating music? I have been using sandisk cruzer blade as well from sandisk and it has the same speed. Around 5/10 MBps write/read. I was also not going to use it daily for carrying files. Hence this was the perfect little storage for the car.
If you want to use it for daily usage, removing and inserting this in your pc port might not be comfortable as plucking it from the port requires some care. Get another pendrive for that purpose. Also, finding it in a bag is not easy at all unless you have the tag attached.
Surely it's a VFM(value for money) device from sandisk, for my kind of requirement, I'd certainly say Go For It!
