A stockbroker's fiancee is brutally murdered when her boss suspects her of stealing corporate secrets, which, if disclosed, will send hundreds of people, including high-powered politicians, to jail. Throughout the book, other murders are committed as the religious cults try to expand their control. Minority control and majority subjugation by two religious organizations is the theme of Sandstone-control by religious organizations so they can advance their power and wealth around the world. Two religious organizations go to war against each other with the goal to take over the other so they can gain more members and hence more money. The conclusion is a dramatic, earth-shattering event that changes the United States forever.
