Best graphics card for a single full HD (1080p) monitor setup

If you desire to play the latest games at full HD resolution on a single monitor at the max settings or atleast max-1 and still have enough money to buy food for a month then Sapphire 6850 is the card for you

HEY WHAT ABOUT 6870 isn't it better than this !!!

the 6870 has about 160 more stream processors and a GPU frequency of 900MHz as opposed to 775MHz of the 6850
which unsurprisingly materializes into better performance

BUT HERES THE DEAL

6850 manages to give you a great fps of a...

Peace of mind!!!

HD 6850 is a great card. After researching extensively on the internet, I decided to go for this card as it offers great value for money. Before this card I had Nvidia 8400GS, which obviously cannot be compared to this card as it is not meant for demanding games. After installing the card, I have seen great jump in picture quality while watching HD movies, though my monitor is not full HD!!! The colours look so bright and lively and the scenes seem to have gained depth which was earlier missi...

Ace of a Card to own!

I was in search of a good graphic card that can handle all current and next-gen (well at least for around 1.5 years) games at full HD (1080p) when I chanced upon this beauty. So after a few hours of careful researching I decided to go for this g-card cos' mainly it ticks all the right boxes. Sir, if you own a full HD LED/LCD monitor anything from 21" and up and want a solid adrenaline pumping, texture filling gizmo I suggest you end your search and go for this as it's perfect value for your m...

great gaming card!

This card is a very strong contender in its price range.
very good for games, i play Battlefield 3 at 1366x780 and ultra high settings and get about 50FPS...

those who want to use it for 3D applications will be dissapointed as AMD has bad support for them. i am a 3D artist and i am saying this from experience. most of the softwares these days like to use CUDA which is only available from Nvidia.
though AMD has a similar technology called APP(accelerated parallel processing) which uses OpenCl...

Gem of a card

Terrific graphics card for playing almost all of the current games at 1920*1080 resolution at high or ultra settings. This is meant for real gaming and in case u want to upgrade in future and have a motherboard with 2 pci-e x16 or x8 slots u just need a good 550w SMPS like corsair vx550 or cx600 to crossfire and beat GTX570 in performance.

Great Looks. Good build quality and great performance

I bought this card 20days ago from flipkart and i have to say that this card is worth every penny you spend on it. I received this card much earlier then its expected date of delivery .

Pros:
1. Great performance - This card can easily support all the latest games ( Battlefield 3 , Assasins Creed Revelations , NFS the run ) on full graphics or near full graphics on a high def screen ( 1900x1080 px)
2. Great Build Quality - This card has a gpu fan and cooling pipes which ensures that ur gpu ...

Awesome but not for everybody

This is a great card and mighty but you may need a big case to fit this baby in and its very good in performance though i experienced that it was not at its full potential when i bought it..I upgraded my horrible transcend 1066Mhz RAM to a g skill ripjaws and now this baby blows everything out of its way .
I'm getting 80 fps using gamebooster in battlefield 3 without any overclocking due to no extra cooler if u have one then amd overdrive makes overclocking a breeze on this thing.
Buy it if...
