A MUST-HAVE for anyone who loves JAVA
I love Java, I finished 2 books on it before this one and I decided to start learning Android application development. Then I started facing difficulties, i.e I came across approaches, rather than syntax, that started giving me headaches. Then I found this book.
It is tough but its simply too good. I feel like a better and a more confident programmer now and I think This is a must-have book for every Java programmer, even if you do not decide to get certified.
Because this book is really about improving your Java Skills as much as it is about you getting certified, which, I believe, goes hand in hand anyways.

MY scjp book.
Hi. Its a very good book. Any java lover should read this book. Im preparing for OCPJP and everyone recommended me to buy this book. Its truely awesome. Every line in the book is important and the way the book is written is simply superb. You will never get bored. This book and a some online mock tests will do to clear the OCPJP 6 exam. Im currently reading it for the second time and soon ill be ready for the exam. It comes with a CD and it has mock tests in it. It gives a real feel of exam. Buy i have to add that you need to have a basic knowledge of java concepts before u start reading it or you wont understad. I will recommend you to read Complete reference for java before u start this book, because i did it this way. Buy this book and read, u ll be an expert in java concepts. Its worth the money. Go for it. Im sure u'll never regret :) Anyway, All the best!

In Depth and detailed contents/guide for java
This book isn't just for the person preparing for SCJP certification. If you think you know it all about java then try this book and you will still learn way many basic but key concepts which one takes for granted.
I am using it for refining my knowledge about the subject. Initially I was using the electronic version of this book but for me reading books on monitor or lcd creates a lot of stress on my eyes so I decided to buy the hard copy and the best part is I just had to do couple of clicks for it.
This is my first purchase from this site and I am happy with its service . Book was wrapped in enough paper/plastic sheets to protect it from any possible damage transportation.
Only cons is you cant use/refersomeone this books as first reference material , but again title suggests it.
