I love Java, I finished 2 books on it before this one and I decided to start learning Android application development. Then I started facing difficulties, i.e I came across approaches, rather than syntax, that started giving me headaches. Then I found this book.

Not only that this is actually a good book for interview preparation as well.
This is far better book than "Head first Java" written by the same authors (if you have some background of Java to begin with).
Overall I recommend this book to anyone who uses Java and wants to learn the intricacies of it.

A very nice book for Java beginners and intermediates. Every concept has been given in a very neat way. I love the two minutes drill very much. I have given 4 stars for this book. Theoretically a very helpful book it is. A little more addition in the part of practical works would help freshers to get an in depth knowledge in programming.

It's one of the best book i've ever read. Crystal clear in-depth explanation (focusing more on certification) but i would not recommend it if you're learning java for the first time.Not for beginners.
