The Scots Fiddle: Tunes, Tales & Traditions Of The North-east & Central Highlands

The Scots Fiddle is a unique contribution to Scotland's heritage and folk tradition and demonstrates an awareness of the scope, richness and vitality of Scots fiddle music with accounts of the lives of composers, the times in which they lived, and an appreciation of the country and its culture. It includes slow airs, pastorals, strathspeys, reels, jigs, hornpipes and marches, some hidden gems from the 18th and 19th-century collections as well as new and previously unpublished compositions.
