Screamings From A Maddening Mind

Alan David Penrose was born 29th October 1967, in Bushy, Hertfordshire, England. In 1990 he started work at Minage Trois in London's West End. Following the breakdown of his marriage and a near-fatal drunken fall, he realised how far he had fallen and how far from himself he had drifted. But with a change of job and location, the phoenix was about to rise from the flames of his broken life. His first poem, written in the fading days of May 2004, was motivated by taking his children home. The floodgates opened, and what was to follow was a torrent of poems dealing with love and love lost, alcohol and living alone. Screamings from a maddening mind is life through his experiences. Poems like "Am I whom I portray?" deal with how people perceive him and his appearance. He presents a nightmarish view in poems like "Ghosts of future and past."
