Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Desktop Internal Hard Drive (ST31000524AS)

Amazing Performance on this one. It Just Fits in and Delivers a Performance Beyond ur expectations in Speed and Data Storage wise. Easy to Install and as for me, didnt find any Faults with it yet(been using it for over an year now).

Seagate makes good drives no doubt, having used their 60GB, 80GB variants to the 1TB model I have in my PC now. They are excellent drives with little failure rates and if they did, the replacement was hassle free.

But recently, post Thailand floods the Warranty policy has taken a tremendous hit.
The hard dives which had 5year warranties last year were down to 3 year warranties and now we get "ONE" year warranty. This is a drastic change and a policy of just one year makes this one of the lowest warranty products sitting in your PC.

I have shifted to Western Digital since then and bought my first drive from them which has 3 year warranty. Luckily they still offer 3years down from their own 5 year warranty.
Seagate and WD have a kind of duopoly on the market and hence control the prices and warranty. Luckily WD has not reduced their warranty but it may change soon. Hence I suggest people looking for a new HDD to buy WD Blue drives or Black ones if needed. The WD Greens are too slow and I would suggest skipping them.

Kindly always note the warranty of the product before making the purchase.

This Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Is Best Hard Drive At It Price
Before This I Was Use Intel SSD But It Has Only 80GB So I Need To Uninstall Old Games To Play New As We Know Windows 7 64 Bit Use 20GB Disk Space And All New Games Are Over Of 10GB So I Need To Buy Hard Disk.
Some Specification Give Below:-
1) The WEI (Windows Experience Index) Of This Drive Is 5.9 Which Is Good Enough.
2) Windows 7 64 Bit Boot Takes Only 30 Second Count On Stopwatch.
3) The Space Is 1TB Written But Usable Space Is 962GB So No Waste Of Space.
4) Only Bad Thing Is That Now Seagate Now Decrease Its Warranty Period Only 1 Year.
5) The Drive Makes Little Clicking Noise When booting And Copy Larges File.
Note:-
1) At First When You Install This Hard Drive And Start Computer Wait 30 Sec To 1 Min Because This Drive Format It Self And Prepare For First Use. If You Turn Off It There Then If May Get Damage.
