Seagate Expansion Falcun 1 TB External Hard Disk

I had ordered this product before one week... But after on week a call fro customer care and they told that its out of stock so we had cancelled ur shipment through COD.. after three day again its in stocks... are they making fun on customer

Good product

I bought this 2 days back but not from flipkart.
The HDD is simply great , too small and light.just plug and play.
I am using in on windows and linux both.for this u have to format it with NTFS and allocation unit size should be maximum at 64kilobytes then you will get max read and write speed.to do this just right click on the drive in windows (xp or higher) click on format option,then select 64KB as the allocation unit size.I am getting write speed about 30MBPS in USB 2.0.I dont have 1 USB 3.0.
connecting cable is a bit weird design to support both USB 2 and USB 3.any micro USB to full USB cable will work.a USB 3 cable is given which works with USB 2 also.
a tiny blue indicator is there also which you would not notice until it glows during operation.

The product was good. But it was not timely delivered. Also the delivery boy didn't call me at all and directly delivered the product to our apartment day-shift security. When i came home, only night-shift security was available. He didn't know anything about this.such an irresponsible Delivery/Courier boy, he didn't inform me that he has delivered it to the security.

I ordered this product around 11 am on the 10th Jan. and it got delivered next day within 24 hours around 11 am. I was pretty desperate for it too.
Well, I immediately transfered 47 GB and it took 40 minutes at speed 20mb/sec
My PC USB port 2.0, Seagate comes with 3.0.

then again tranfered 39 GB, it took 32 mins, 54 GB it took 47mins and 7.5GB it took 6 mins
transfer speed being around 21mb/sec throughout.

USB cable that comes with it is not that too short as read here. Its about half a meter long with the device connected. Well suitabe for PCs too.

1TB but actual storage or capacity shows 931GB (69 GB Short?)

Previously, I ordered 16GB memory card from flipkart and I got it withi 48 hours

i bought this model outside
it serves the purpose but the biggest drawback is its body
made up of cheap plastic ,it may even break if you use it frequently and beware handle it very very carefully because even once if it fall it'll surely break :(
also the usb cable is not good everytime i plug in the usb cable to the hdd it gives a "tic" sound !!!!
as if something has broken inside
seagate has hiked its prices enormously but why build products with cheap plastic
next time i wont buying seagate at all
